- Dustin claims his wife, Amethyst, allows her daughter, Kyrah, to “rule” their household and that their disagreements over how to raise the teen have been causing friction in their marriage. He claims that whenever Kyrah doesn’t get her way, she runs away from home.

If a man doesn’t like your child, why stay with him. He just wants to be controlling and that’s not what her child needs.
Yeah it's like some people just want children to have defenseless beings to control and mold into small copies of themselves to give unquestioned respect and admiration and if the kids aren't like the parents, they just toss them aside like a left-over month-old tuna casserole.

@@nolimits300 She doesn't have to feel any kind of way about him, her mom had one chance to pick a father for her and that didn't work out. Her mom promised her it was just them, 90 days later she moves in with a guy she's never met before and has more kids which further takes up the time that she was promised, which she doesn't blame her brothers for. He's getting physical with her, he's cocky about it like he thinks he has a right to. He's invading her privacy. He claims that she brought up her trauma to get out of trouble but he found out about it by snooping through her phone and says the most painful thing about snooping through her phone was what she said about starting a fight to get away from them rather than her trauma. He has no place parenting her against her will, banging and marrying and having kids with her mom doesn't make him her parent.
I think it comes from fear that as you get older the less and less likely it becomes to find someone.

Look I understand that blended families aren't always black and white. I understand her mom wanting to be with someone because eventually her daughter is going to leave for school. I also agree she should leave him, but it's not that simple especially if there are other kids involved because all that teaches them is that you can act out to get your way.

Yeah, in previous clips Amethyst (the mom) says Kyra first met Dustin when he was _moving in_ with them. Yeah, she didn't introduce Kyra to this man to see if her child is comfortable around this man, she just throw your 5-year-old right into the shark tank and was all "Sink or swim, ya little brat!"

I lived with my aunt and her husband for 3 yrs, from the age of 5 til 8yrs old. They, at that time, had 2 younger kids. I never had a relationship with my aunt's husband. He provided for everyone and I wasn't missing a meal or anything but there was no emotional connection. As a 5 to 8 yr old I felt the love he had for his kids, whom I love and adore, and his wife but I never had nor felt that from him. The most natural love I've felt was from my younger cousins cause kids are just pure. So I get her situation, you feel like you're a separate entity from the family. Like you don't really belong there but you're just riding along. Some men just can't relate to anything that isn't a part of their flesh and blood.

My mom chose her ex husband over me when I was a kid. After he went after me when I blew my knee and I was upset about it she told me to just get over it. I’ve never been able to really forgive my mother for that.

In the previous video, Dustin checking her phone is highly inappropriate. He is not her stepfather. He is her mother's husband. He has had almost no part in the raising of her. He needs to stay in his lane. That's not his place. And her mother is not protecting her at the expense of her husband. I think she is more interested in the attention of a man that she's missing what the pain is in her daughter. I just don't think either of them are being proper fiduciaries for this girl. It says something is wrong when someone runs away 9 times.

THIS WAS ME before I left for the final time. I took had a young mother and she remarried when I was 8. Only thing is that my mother would be actively kicking me out of the house from 10-23. After that I left and never looked back.

I watched this today. No child should come between a marriage. And this girl is just spoiled. She knows what she is doing and she is doing it for attention to be a jerk. I think she isnt telling truth about stuff. And she doesn't deserve trust. She is minipulating them.
I don’t believe her either. If she were telling the truth she would tell all the truth and not withhold. The fact that she’s unwilling to press charges or even confront the person who “traumatized” her tells me she made it up for attention or to get out of something.
