The answer to most of my prayers. I have two reso guitars because one tuned to open D and other to open G. how wonderful it would be to get the full range of sounds in one instrument. Unfortunately I am not sure I can justify the price of putting one on my Gretsch Bobtail. Sometimes it really sucks being a low budget amateur musician.
Got something like this on my 42 Rickenbacher Bakelite B30, changes low bass G to low bass D. Factory fit i beleive. It only alters 3 strings, but has a 3 position lever, so i get G, D, and G6
I'd like to be able to change on the fly, like on a pedal steel guitar, or a Duesenberg Multibender. The design of this unit is for tuning change between numbers. It takes about a second to go from G to D.
+soonerschooner8384 I suspect that a capo will create a lot of drag and cause the levered tuning to be unpredictable. The expert setup includes a roller nut to eliminate detuning on raises and lowers, just like my pedal steel has. Without the rollers, strings can return at different pitches after lever and pedals are activated and relased.
That's incredible playing and an awesome bridge on a fabulous guitar. I'm thinking of getting one. Thanks for showing a video. 🪕

Oh, the possibilities! Is there enough range to do, say Greg Booth G6 and Stacy Phillips Bm? Dm and G9?
Very cool!!! I look forward to trying one. Can this be used with a capo?

Not being sarcastic but why would you want a capo with a d tuner?
I mean you’d have to remove the capo d tune it and replace it. Maybe 10-20 sec?
Can it be set to 2 alt tunings ?.ted.

I think the new dobro is calling for one of these. I might just go ahead and get Gavin to play it for me as well. Sick with it to the end. My, my.
