    Ever since I started to wrap cars, I treat every wrap as directional... even if its satin black lol just to get in a good habit. Better safe than sorry

      That's the best way to go! Satins are weird I find even flats tend to be directional. Better safe than sorry!

    I thought way to hard on how the directions should go and this definitely cleared it up!!! Couldn’t find anyone else on TH-cam who went over this!

      I'm still confused, so sides and rear point up? and trunk and hood point to the drivers side?

    I think it looks very nice where you have twisted the squares twisted. It has a very cool effect.

      i was thinking the same! would love to see that done all over the entire car XD

      I agree! I have actually seen some cool color change designs where they did entire wrap directionally correct. Then overlayed a bunch of hexagons, intentionally turned, and it looked really cool!

    When you do directional you should face the roof to the drivers side, since that's the (what i call the public side), side that faces the sidewalk. The drivers side only faces the middle of the street and other drivers only see that side as they pass each other and more times then not, they can't see the roof of the car. So the color flops from the door over the top of the roof.

      Some roofs will even fit where you can make it continuous with rear end and the up is facing towards front of car. Thanks for your input and watching!

      So the roof and the bonnet’s arrow should be from passenger’s side to the driver’s side? Not from back to front?

      @20tea 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sepehr_moghani Thanks, was curious about the same thing. Went back to front. Also my 5x50' roll, the 5' wouldn't cover the doors completely if I went roof to driver's side.

      Yeah the Color Shift material is awesome. Most people need to see it in person to really get the effect.

    Let’s say on the side panels, your direction is towards front. The arrow on the back of the vinyl is pointing forwards. Which direction the bonnet, boot and the bumpers shod be?

    Good info, that GTI looks awesome! . I just layed some Avery Gloss Rising Sun on the roof of my Impala. I'll have a video soon on my TH-cam channel as well.

    Awesome video. What kind of steamer do you use? Are you worried about water getting under the wrap when you steam it before laying it on the car? or do you only steam when it's on the car and you are just squeegeing ?

    So basically you install your wrap so the arrows goes around the car? Or the arrows all point at the front of the car ?

    I checked the Avery installation manual and they mentioned 'metallics and matte' being directional. I'm thinking of wrapping my FRS with Avery's gloss bright blue metallic, how difficult would it be compared to their colorflow line (I like their Rising Sun vinyl, but it's very directional). Also, I have both samples but I don't notice the shift as much since it's small.
    Note: Your link is broken. I used this PDF they have: graphics.averydennison.eu/content/dam/averydennison/graphics/eu/en/technical-bulletins/Sign-making/TB-3.12-rev2-application-instructions-for-avery-SWF-en-FINAL-UPDATE.pdf

    What do you when your wrapping to different size unbroken panels? I'm wanting to wrap my single cab truck but obviously the bed is gonna be wrapped top up but that's only 60" material...the door is nearly 5 foot wide with the outer cab section being a un broken piece...do I need to wrap it in two sections? Also the hood is massive and unbroken so need to wrap that top towards the windshield to be able to cover in one piece or is that a two piece as well?
