For everyone watching just remember to use post heat after installing it help the vinyl stick better and faster. Heat will tighten it so it enforced the longevity of the wrap
Bro keep the videos coming. This was great! Like someone else mentioned, it’s great to see someone relatively new to the wrap game do this, it’s more relatable.
It looks easy but I am telling you guys , for a beginner with no experience in wrapping , this is very hard to do it alone. You better ask some one to assist you. 😀
I just did my roof and I looks like trenches with all the lines i left ( I’m gonna re do it all again but damn it’s an experience)😭 trunk came out great tho
Bruh of almost all the videos I have seen TH-cam about how to wrap this one is by far the simplest and well explained way on how to do this! Great job dawg we sure do appreciate the video!
Mate, such a good tutorial, thanks heaps. There were a couple of times it looked wrong to me but you didn't panic, you stretched and squeegied and continued on. I'll be watching this quite a few more times before I make my first attempt. Legend.
Thank you so much, super informative, and great to see a novice, more or less, versus a professional shop doing it. Same gives me more confidence that you can do a great job even without a lot of experience doing it. Pretty sure I’m gonna do it myself now, instead of paying somebody!
Not a good idea, water can be trapped in the air release pattern, you will void material warranty on most materials with a wet application of air release vinyl
the first i tried wrapping my car was in october 2022 and it took me 4 hours to do the hood of my car, until i gave up and went to a shop. going to wrap my car myself and commit this time, so im glad i found this video.
I was getting ready to comment that you should probably have a heat gun on deck and it cut to the part where you were using it lol. I have a black 2011 Cadillac CTS. I did a custom black mesh grill and deleted my chrome with 3M carbon fiber vinyl. 1080 or whichever one it was. It was the textured one, like real carbon fiber feel. That stuff is a real pain in the ass! No pulling up once it's down. Stretching will ruin the carbon fiber pattern. Squeegee a quarter inch at a time as you go type shit. It's an extremely sticky vinyl as well. Thought I would give you a heads up on that since you were cool enough to share your awesome video! Thanks bro, appreciate the look.
I've got a fiberglass hood on its way, thanks for the video. I was torn between getting it painted (my paint isn't in great shape), or wrapping it in a carbon fiber, or subtle color. Good job, thanks for taking the time to record this.
It helps a lot to have someone else helping you as well because by yourself, you can only pull in one direction, kind of, which causes the other side to make lines.
I’ve never done this but you did a great job of making me feel confident I could do it. Definitely going to wrap my car to look like Lightning McQueen for my son!
@@marktuminaro4782 idk..good question...if they don't.. I'd get some big stencil type cut outs and try to do a spray paint fill in....that's a lot of detailed shit but the end result would be worth it to see your boys' smile 😎
Hey bro!! Awesome video man, very informational and smooth guide. I’m about to do the hood on my wife’s Mazda 3 with Vivid vinyl wrap that I’ve been using for the last year or so. Love the videos man, keep it up!
Perfect tutorial!! Can you post a video of you wrapping over visible damage on panels? Example: like a fender with visible paint dips or chipped areas? Thanks!
You can get a variety pack of sandpaper at advanced auto or wherever you go for car stuff. And I forget what it’s called cuz mine went missing but there’s a liquid (rustoleum maybe???) that will fill in the chips. Im currently trying to do the same thing
Just sand down the imperfections/chips, and overfill the taped off damaged area with primer. Sand it down to be even with your original paint. Then wrap
Awesome video I just got my tool kit and film from Amazon, going to practice on my old Chevy truck so I can then do it on my newer truck. Is this different from using the clear protective film? Going to try mines this weekend
Yoooo u 🔥wit dat shyt, bro. I been thinkn bout wrappin my hood but i been a lil nervous, u just gave me da balls 2 do dat shyt.😂🤣!! I appreciate u, broski 💯
Great job man. Happy I found your page. Just about to do my first wrap on one of my Rx7s to get it ready for 7s Day on my channel. Very inspiring video. 👏🏿 keep up the great work.
noice job good tutorial, i just cant tell if you are actually stretching the vinyl to the edges, usual you lift pressure before you get to your edges or the wrap is going to curl. other than that amazing job very good tutorial. keep it up my man.
Like the logo. Props. Thx for the share of your wrap and real life experience. Friend, ya gotta get a wireless mic.Rino. I couldnt hear some of your explanations.
You did a very good job. I also wrapped my car myself. I used the same references as you, CK wraps, Paradox wraps and Premium Auto Styling. I used HEXIS film, what manufacturer did you use?
After you’re all done wrapping whatever part of the car you want do you use a heat gun over the part you wrapped or no need to use a heat gun just on the edges ??
I want to do this to my 2012 Chevy Cruze LTZ. I took 2 yrs in auto body in vocational school. I was quiet good at painting cars. I think I also want to do purple. That is a beautiful color.
Thanks 🙏🏽 bro appreciate it good 👍🏽 video I’m going to do my hood as well I was a bit nervous 😬 but after watching this video it really helped me out 🔥🙌🏽❤️

weird i thought cold tightens it heat loosen it
@@MoneyShifted he’s wrong, heat only helps in making it easier in applying it
Are you saying apply heat on the edges there after the Wrapp
@@yourmuda1188 so your saying heat don’t help the wrap last longer ? Wrap literally fixes itself in heat.

Great to see someone who took time to learn how to wrap properly. Nice job! Hope to see more videos from you.
Good procedure, very thorough.

Dude ive watch tons of video and haven't seen anyone say damp the bottom of the vinyl witch makes it 1000 times easier thanks life saver

Very definitive video bro, really helped me out wrapping my own car hood from scratch
That's kind of insane he did that hood solo. Respect. Normally you'd have a few guys to help stretch it out and lay
Absolute great teacher better than a lot of more popular wrappers! Well done

badass bro, learning to implement wrapping into my shop, learned a lot from here
Super novice here. Great vid man. Do you need to heat the vynil after it’s down? Like on the surface or just on the edges?
Yes u need to heat after u lay down to avoid making bubbles and stuff also the edges to wrap nicely around all parts🫡
My favorite color has always been Red but for some crazy reason Purple is growing on my a lot.
❤good way to do it. Would it not be easier to unscrew the hood and work on a bench.
