Is she actually friendly? She summoned those hands, and she kept having things scribbled out and her name written over it. She is hiding something... what if you never actually leave? I mean the video did cut off with missing footage. Items can no-clip themselves so that may be how "we" saw this tape.

I would be aimlessly exploring the illogical area (although it would feel just fine as I slept) and then be sharply interrupted by terror. Rosemary is a very interesting character here. Given that someone left a note about her in the house, I think it’s safe to assume Rosemary is fine, she probably just can no longer assist you from this point on. I don’t think these creatures can truly “die” anyway. Something similar probably happens every time a new person wanders in and she holds them off each time. I wonder why she helped us and what makes her stronger than the other “neighbors” here… either way, I’m grateful to her. She must be remembered.

Seeing as how the only unique house is Rosemary's pink house, it seems that Rosemary created this liminal space after phasing from reality, only knowing her house and endless rows of identical houses as a reference point to base her reality. The world is abstract because her concept of reality as a child is abstract, now becoming an entity that maintains this "level"/alternate dimension. It feels like she was lonely at first, and is the cause and creation of the "mannequins", or other people that phased into this dimension that were transformed. Eventually growing to understand that it's unhealthy and wants to break the cycle, now using her influence over the dimension to help new stranded wanderers. I also could be very wrong in my interpretation! Awesome video, I really liked the abstract scenes, which reminded me of many lucid dreams.

@@chrisgore8597I agree, tho I think it’s cooler if she was killed by the mannequins and then became a sort of ‘special’ one. This is another all-time favorite level of mine. The entities are super creepy, resembling how society always judges you. . .always watch your back when around others. I learned so much about Rosemary. I forgot that there was footage of her origins. I wonder if maybe she was like our camera man but got touched by an entity. Maybe her world was corrupted and turned into the suburbia. Maybe she changed from a human into a freakish entity. She knows she will never return to being an innocent human child, so she is helping others escape her fate. It would make sense why her child form is a mere mannequin, an empty shell of what she used to be. Rosemary is adorable. I may draw some backroom fanart. I also love how she has some misspellings. It truly captures the playfulness of the child. Her true form is remarkable. She is so powerful yet has to hide it so that others will not fear her. Poor thing.

This was great. I find myself a little off put when people try to interject too much lore into the concept of the backrooms, as it looses its mystery when a supposedly infinite maze-like realm can be mapped out or people invent their own fan-fiction to quantify the backrooms or invent ways of how to escape from the Backrooms. But you did a really great job here. Out of all the levels of the backrooms I've seen this one both comforts me (since you can see the sky) and it offers a sense of familiarity, but also disturbs me due its openness since it feels like threats can come at any angle. Also the concept of stepping into a house and then all of a sudden the comforting surburan streets vanishing feels me with a sense of dread.

It's like they knew them escaping is impossible as an altered figure so instead they help others to not meet the same fate as they did. Rosemary might've been the same as the ones after the cameraman but later on realized how pointless it was to keep going so she's using her form against them because she knows she, and the others like her, is the only one who can neutralize and protect the humans.

I feel like this is controversially the most creepiest level yet, because it's almost very nearly back to the normal surface. And you could be forgiven at points in forgetting you are still in the backrooms, it would appear that you are so close to reality but you are still so very far and that's the most disturbing thing.

    • @Gaetafix
      @Gaetafix 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

It's almost as if after being in the backrooms for so long you have virtually forgotten what the surface was really like, and the backrooms has been subtly trying to recreate that reality up until this point, in which time this appears eerily familiar, yet not quite right - Welcome to level 94

Something that really affected me was the impression that the gravity at this level is completely odd, so running suddenly feels difficult like your feet are heavy. This is the script of many of my own nightmares. I felt the cameraman's discomfort and panic at moving too slowly but unable to fight it.

First person POV's are terrifying 💀
i really hate it when the character stops every five seconds to look around for 10 seconds 😭 like bro RUN or WALK FASTER PLS 😭😭😭
Rosemary was so kind. even if she's aware that she's still one of them, she wanted to keep you safe and she wants you to exit the level 😭♥️
it feels so nice (once again) to see an entity helping someone. it's warming.

The vertigo and the menacing absolute of repeat sprawl was intense, and then we find someone at the heart of it confronting it's sleeping threat.

It seems like some kind of Langoliers dimension where time hadn't quite caught up to real time in your perspective in this interpretation of the Animations. Very creative take. It's like they are stuck in the second dimension while you're in the third. You likely appear as a ghost and you have interacted adversely to their plane of existence by entering. Rosemary is probably a Samara-type or Agatha-type from ParaNorman in that dimension where she learned to fully animate herself but, not, enough to interact with you fully on your plane. Almost like she was burned at the stake in the end.

I'm rewatching this series and I have to say, while ever level on their own is terrifying in their own right - I think this one is the worst. Such an open space with houses that look completely normal. Even cars standing around. The blue sky with a beautiful sunset. Yet it's fake. You aren't back home. It looks so real yet uncanny, it's definitely the most scary to me. Imagine what kind of relief he felt when he first stepped outside only to get crushed by the reminder that he's not home.

This really is some interesting work. The Backrooms have always been more an existential dread, an odd displacement of yourself. Does this not belong? Or do you not belong? Rather than just sic some horrendously warped nightmare at us, something of our own human construct, you decided to do with this sort of out-of mind aesthetic. It's chill. It's frightening at times, but nothing amongst these worlds feel particularly malicious. They just exist, in their eternally suspended state of non-existence. While you just wander through all this, wondering what you're actually doing - I love it. It captures the backrooms feel very well. (So well done)

Dude this one was awesome I am in love with all the detail you put into this one. I’m not sure if you have heard of the game called Manifold Garden. But the houses orbiting around that one house reminded me of certain parts of that game. I also saw how you referenced your own channel on one of the street signs. I even got a massive dose of vertigo when the guy walked up on that platform and looked down. Really like how there was an entity that we never heard of before that was helping the guy out. I cannot stress this enough that the amount of hard work, time, and effort you put into these videos as a one man production crew is amazing.

The funny thing is this is obviously not as realistic as some might be able to make it (e.g. in Unreal Engine 5), but it doesn't take anything away from the thrill, the anxiety and fear at all. This proves to me once again, that proper storytelling, especially visual storytelling, doesn't require crazy visuals. Sure, they might somewhat help with immersion, but it's not required. Which is why books work. Which is why this video certainly works.
Great stuff, thanks, albeit I'm probably too afraid to keep watching.

@@websterdrums Of course, how could I not? I love it! Kane is a fantastic storyteller, and his production and VFX skills are astonishingly good. However, we shouldn't compare everything to Kane's work. Kane's Backrooms vision is different from the commonly established Backrooms lore, which LitH seems to follow quite close. The immersion in Kane's video is great, but recently a lot of his work follows a narrative and is often shown from third person. LitH videos are so far only done from the lone wanderer's POV, as if we were there in person exploring the Backrooms, so we can really immerse ourselves in this world, especially with how lengthy his video are. Both visions of the Backrooms (Kane's and LitH's) are great in their own rights and can be enjoyed separately.

I think she really was trying to help you, but now the only way out is through Hell and down beast's back. It's really impressive that you're doing all of this work by yourself! I'm really excited to see what you do with Rosemary's house, (Playrooms?) I'm already getting bad vibes from the clown in the dollhouse. Absolutely loving your videos!! That little detail of Rosemary having a few spelling mistakes and scribbling them out was a pretty nice detail
At least some of the writings before this video may be from other lost people trying to leave breadcrumbs, and that "no way out" one I guess is from a neighbour taunting the cameraman. But others had to be from something else, like the ones that appeared when the lights blinked in the last one and the chairs appearing to block out certain places
The idea that there are other friendly (as far as we know) entities keeping an eye out for lost people in other levels but there's really no way to tell for sure but having no other type of guide in the backrooms is amazing. Fantastic work!!!

Who lives there and what is inside of it.
