Continuing our look at flagship devices, our comparison now focuses on the best thing from both Apple and HTC. Launching earlier in the year, the HTC One X seemingly got the year jumpstarted with its awe-inspiring presence -- thus, establishing the benchmark of what would've been expected with other devices going forward. But now that Apple's pride and joy in the iPhone 5 has finally made its landing, we're taking these two formidable offerings into the ring to find out how they stack up against one another...
using iphone5 for a month now,i don't know about android much ,but using iphone is an awesome experience ,superfast ,fantastic touch ,, no lags ,no issues whatsoever ,am just proud of my choice...

I am using the HTC One X for a couple of weeks and I`m thrilled with it . Absolutely fantastic phone , beautiful display , really nice camera , fast downloading and uploading speeds , I haven` t experienced any lag , the web browsing experience is amazingly fluid ( trust me these reviewers have no idea what they are saying) , and +you have a lot of free things to download from the play store .
It isn't just the specs, how smooth it is the feel from... it and stuff like that to!

Can a normal non-geeky user turn off Sense UI on the One X? It comes pre-installed with the phone and he's comparing phones on a user's aspect.
I used to have the One X and I now have the iPhone 5. Both are great phones, but I do miss the One X, mainly because of its amazing screen and its customisation. Both great phones though.
Yes, but I was referring to the lack of LTE on the hardware of the global version.
Micro stutters do sometimes happen when running live wallpapers, but I think this mainly a sense problem and not the handset itself. I have run both Holo and Nova launchers available on the play store and really bring the speed of the htc one x into perspective. Both phones I believe run an IPS based display and anything above 300ppi is beyond negligible so I would opt for the higher resoultion.
I guess soda cans and aluminum foil feels premium too.

Just one more thing though. Every love wallpaper user knows that they are sacrificing a small amount of ui smoothness when they use an interactive background (hence why iphone doesn't give the option because one of its selling points is speed). Hence why it is not professional to do a smoothness comparison without putting a static wallpaper one the one x first.
Mentioning it after isn't good enough because it doesn't show people how fast it can be x
I love how he compares the iPhone that has a static wall paper to the HDTV which has an animated wall paper and then days its not that fast that's not very fair

why does everybody say that you can't expand the memory on the HTC One X while there is a slot for a micro sd card very close to the lock/power button...
how can u compare the at&t version of One X where as we know that maybe there's lower specs than the international version?

I know what I like to see the video and photo comparison displayed on a calibrated lcd monitor since the images/videos quality are subject to the lcd of the phone which will different when watched on a PC.
yeah it does. he's using the american version of the one x. same with the S3. the american version is dual and the international is quad.
Why don't you turn on the wifi on the HTC?
If you are talking about processor speed. Network speed will be significantly slower, considering the lack of LTE.

Well stock HTC is a little laggy but once rooted using android revolution HTC 4.1 sense Rom its gets rid of all the lag from sense by removing unnecessary bloat that cause lag. Also battery now lasts longer and it beat s3 and iPhone 5 in benchmark tests too. Have the results to prove it.
true it may have a 720p screen, but the size of the screen is also bigger, so it has less ppi, (312 vs Apple's 326) but both screens in my opinion are pretty much alike,
I have a HTC One X and I can tell you the problems with it. I like HTC very much, but unfortunatelly for me, the HTC One X is a matter of never meet your heroes. First and biggest problem is it's battery. If you are using it like me, with games, calls, messages, wi-fi, it will drain faster then you can say "where is my charger?". 1800 mAh is useless for such a monster. Second problem is coverage.My mate with a blackberry had 3 lines while I had 0 lines of antena in an area with bad coverage
i think its safe to say the brushed aluminium used on the iphone 5 is slightly different to the aluminium used in soft drink cans...

Doesnt the iphone 5 also have beats audio by defualt becuase on my beats box it says its designed for ipods, iphones, ipads. So shouldnt the iphone 5 also be great i terms of headphone quality?? :/

im using HOX and my sisters are using the S3. To be honest HOX's interface is much smoother than the S3. I have no idea why, the S3 is suppose to be better but my sisters are complaining that the interface is not as smooth as HOX.
The reason they don't change it much is probably because the people who use them, like them the way they are and stick with them, like me. I'm glad it is how it is. its not just your opinion kid.
Xchanify- u nailed it . I had exactly same impression. How can u compare complex desktop with widgets and animated wallpaper to simple grid of icons and still background. My wife iPhone 5 , NOW full of photos and music and stuff is significantly slower than out of the box. Still nice phone but only phone not smartphone.
Wow!! That's not fair to compare the iPhone against the dual-core OneX. Especially since HTC's flagship phone is the quad-core OneX. I had the quad-core OneX for a month and a half and I must say that it is the best thing I've had the opportunity to work with. A lot better than the iPhone 5.
how is the sound quality in the htc one x with n without the earphones?
but anyways the browser on the one x is very laggy when it comes to rendering.. and the menu bar just pops out whenever it likes to....
Im a HoX owner and even though it's a great phone it still has flaws, the good thing about android though is the possibility to change almoste everything, if I don't like the keyboard, theres tons of them out there and you can't compare switfkey to iOS keyboard, because switftkey is just so much better. Also as mentioned, the iphone is ½ year "younger" but it doesn't really show. Great video, keep it up!
that really does not affect the rendering. even with the galaxy s3 u can scroll down the whole page with one swipe and it has much much better renedering than the one x.
Why is everyone calling him a fanboy, because most of the fanbase are android users? The Bias is in the comments, the iPhone does everything a phone is supposed to do better than the One X.
i have the htc one x and its awesome. i know a person with an iphone5 and they said its no different its just like the 4s... it is apple had the chance to do something amazing but all they didi eas change the charger and headphones.. WOW

Considering the plethora of problems plaguing the iPhone 5, the HTC wins by default. Check the Apple forum complaints:
-really poor battery.
-stuttery OS
-stuck home button
-Maps suck butt
-Purple Haze in pics
-Dark pics with flash on
-Light leakage,
-Screen glitches over the keyboard
-Easily scuffs
-Rattle heard on the inside
-Yellow screens
-Random freezing
-Speaker problems
-Voice problems

the only benchmark that was done on the IP5 was the Geekbench. this might have discrepancies from os to another. nd dont get why ppl imply iphones are sooo expensive. here in the us, mostly all high end smart phones are around 200..nd glad i got the s3 instead of waiting for the IP5
I used to have android phones (I had 3) and the customization was good but what it came down to was reliability. After time, the androids would just slow down and become annoying. I recently got the iPhone 5, not because I'm a fanboy, but because I was tired of android's unreliable nature, and am super happy with my iphone. It just works great.
And then it's the sound volume when you are using your phone to listen to music without using your headphones, or it's ringing volume. Sooooo low that sometimes I missed calls while walking in a traffic full area just because the phone was ringing in my pocket and I didn't hear it. The only thing that could help you here is setting your phone to vibrate when receiving a call or message. And fourth the camera shots are soo low res like in a low light environment.
it may be quad core but thanks to iOS's UI it is a lot more smoother to operate...

the iphone now is the fastest phone on the market, its very dmooth, NO laggs. the htc one x is also very smooth compare to other android phones, but the iphone is still smoother, and faster. the iphone 5 is also smoother and faster than the international version with the quadcore cpu.

Once HTC One X gets the android 4.1 update there wont be anymore even if there is a tiny bit of stutter at times. In my use a little bit of lag was caused by flash heavy websites. Otherwise this phone was buttery smooth. Google integration is awesome. If Iphone for smoothness is 100, this phone is 95. Its super smooth. Just dont load flash heavy websites or give it some time to load.
i disagree with the picture comparison because the iphone 5 pics looks by far a lot better then the one x and a lot of people would agree with me
Cmon stop arguing about it, it all comes down to personal taste. Let the apple fanboys be the ones who think they can win the argument. As a matter of fact there is no argument. It's like 2 guys arguing over which woman to get. Who cares, as long as you're happy and what you can do with your phone :)

HTC one x better than I phone 5.better sound quality. I phone run dual core processor nd HTC one x quad core. Best gaming experience, best thin design, light weighted, nd beat audio,HTC one x made me crazy....love HTC innovation
The One X might do more, but the iPhone just does all core features better: sound, camera, call quality, design, fluidity, battery life. Much more time went into design on iPhone 5 than One X. The One X is still better than S3, but Android has so many inconsistencies. Nokia even knows design and user experience more than HTC or Samsung and even better than Apple at the point. Android phones seem to get faster and bigger, but not better.

I don't understand why reviewers hail the iPhone's design. Its stale and pretty much a stretched out iPhone 4. I'm not saying its ugly but its outdated I feel. Also the design of the One X is much better IMO. In fact I think its the best looking phone out there period. Of course its all subjective but I'm not a reviewer so I can state my opinion. Reviews should be strictly objective. IPhone 5 is faster and newer than One X is tru...but the One X offers so much more that even a jb 1 can't match.

if you hold letters on the iPhone 5 it shows your multiple options for the letter that you are working with. just try it... The iPhone 5 is better OVERALL however not everyone is the same so do not rage on him for liking the iPhone 5 better. There is probably a good reason you like the one x (or android in itself) better. Just enjoy it and don't go out and rage on this guy...
People are so mad that the iphone 5 won . Which is expected . It also goes based on what you prefer .

I think this video got a lot of dislikes because people wanted to hear Jon bash the Iphone and have the one x be the clear winner. But all and all thy're both great devices and you can't go wrong either one.

When I first saw the iphone 5 I couldn't really see much difference between that and the 4 (without one sitting in front of me) I used to find the iphone an attractive and interesting device - doesn't do it for me anymore.

It's not that Android is broken, it's just that we need more of a variety of features with our phones. That's why I myself and many others prefer Android. Iphone is just way too simplified, and it doesn't have all the customization you can do on an Android device. Iphone is just too boring imo.

it's just to show that i will lag with live wallpaper. It is hard to make lag appear when you want it otherwise, so that's probably why he did that.

Compare this to the European version with tegra 3 and its quad-core. Also brightness on atat version is not like the European version at all its much brighter and sharper. That HTC looks dull. I have compared mine with my friends iPhone 5 and there's not much in and no delay when swiping or scrolling.

iPhone is dual-core 1.3 Ghz ARM cortex A-15.
Neither is better overall. Both have pros and cons. Hardware wise, the iPhone has the edge no doubt but iOS isn't for everyone.
