My mentor, pseudo Grandfather, and greatest friend passed away in 2019. The first death I ever dealt with. He was on hospice due to leukemia. I visited him a few days before he passed. I had a talk with him. I told him “I know your a fighter but if your tired that it’s ok to go and see your wife Linda in the big place in the sky. If your afraid….. I’ll be here and walk with you to the gates” I went back to see him 2 days later…. He waited for me. I talked to him all the way until his last breath. I had my chance to give him a last goodbye. I never wanted to say goodbye. Till this day I bounce in and out of the blues missing my friend. So many things I want to tell him. So many good things I want share with him. I just know he’s up there somewhere pulling strings for me with the big guy up there.
