SETTING UP YOUR WATER TANK FOR MOBILE AUTO DETAILING (3 methods).

In this video I go over the 3 most common ways detailers set up their water tanks for their auto detailing business.
1. Gravity Fed.
Gravity fed is pretty simple. Just make to have your tank higher than your pressure washer, and to make sure your main water supply line to your pressure washer is completely bled of all air to ensure you don’t burn out your pressure washer.
2. Submersible pump
This is an easy way to get flowing water out of your tank and into your pressure washer as there is minimal plumbing needed to get going. All you need is a small garden hose attached to the pump, out the top of your tank and into your pressure washer. Small garden hose and pump are down below in the links provided VVVVV
3. Traditional/inline pump with automatic shut off.
This type of pump requires more work and supplies to set up, but in the long run could very well be worth it for your detailing business. With automatic shut off we reduce the risk of stress inflicted on your system, as well as supplying water too your pressure washer when in demand.

For gravity fed is it better to have 1/4 in hose or 3/8? I have a ryobi $100 pressure washer
Hey man. Is it better to have a shorter or longer hose going from the water tank to the pressure washer for water flow? It is a gravity fed setup.
I am planning to due water tank flat on the floor save space...

I have a question about the seaflo pump set up. I keep blowing the hose off between the pressure washer and water pump when I let off of preasure washer gun. The water pump shuts off but the back pressure of the pressure washer keeps blowing up hoses. Thanks
You might need a stronger hose. What type of pressure washer are you using?
Also how are you clamping the hoses down on the pump?
@@PurcellsProDetail I am using an electric ryobi 1800 psi pressure washer. I have a flexzilla between the water pump and pressure washer. I am using 5/8 barb brass connectors with hose clamps. The moment I release the pressure washer gun it builds up so much pressure it pops the hose clean off and has split a hose in half as well
