Isn't Europe still buying gas from Russia?? Why blaming India for importing oil from Russia when whole world is buying gas and uranium for fulfilling their personal requirement

    • @VINLAND_777

      Define „Europe“.
You might now know it, but Europe is just a continent and not a country or collective.
Please list the countries which do import gas from Russia and then we compare that list with the ones who dont.
But we could also say „south Asia“ or „Asia“ when we talk about India, right?

Secondly, does not every European country buy their needs like oil etc. independently?

Yeah, right india should just listen to west. Check history of western support to india in last 8 decades. The only lesson that can be drawn is dont trust the west. Even 4 short years ago, europe was busy wining and dining china thru the china india border standoff. But hey, india should come to west's assistance because they are the center of the world. Everyone thinks they are the center of the world but know others also think likewise. Europe is the only one who thinks the whole world thinks Europe is the center of the world.

One of the most significant aspects of this collaboration is the supply of gas turbine engines for the Indian Navy. These engines, which power a range of Indian warships, are manufactured by Ukraine’s state-owned company Zorya-Mashproekt. As India’s naval capabilities continue to expand, the importance of reliable and high-performance propulsion systems cannot be overstated. During the visit, the two leaders are expected to explore ways to enhance this partnership further.
According to sources from Bloomberg, Zorya-Mashproekt is currently in talks with Indian private sector companies to jointly manufacture gas turbines in India. This potential collaboration could lead to significant technological transfer and bolster India’s indigenous defense manufacturing capabilities. The joint production of gas turbines would not only ensure a steady supply for the Indian Navy but also contribute to India’s broader “Make in India” initiative, which aims to reduce dependence on foreign imports by fostering local manufacturing.

This is a tiny attempt of India to be the peacemaker . But lot of water has flown under the bridge, more than 2 years have passed, huge casualties plus economic damage is in billions. Worse yet, US is providing weapons in the name of NATO. According to me, Peace talks should have been made before the war started -- US and Europe should have called Putin for face to face talks and this war could have been averted. Putin has been reiterating since 2008 that do not cross the line, come close to Russia. But NATO kept pushing itself up, so Putin had to attack Ukraine.

    • @tanler7953
      @tanler7953 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

No amount of peace talks could have mollified Russia for the collapse of the Warsaw Pact. Putin made it clear that Russia had to occupy Ukraine as compensation for that loss. I think the West could have handed the Ukraine to Russia and avoided war but appeasement is a risky policy (as history has demonstrated).

The Indian Air Force’s (IAF) large fleet of An-32 military transports, which was slated for an upgrade under a 2009 contract, has been particularly impacted. The Antonov plant produces the model. The contract involved upgrading 40 aircraft in Ukraine and another 65 in India under Ukrainian supervision.
However, the supply chain has been disrupted due to Russia’s refusal to supply spare parts. Due to this the last five of the 40 aircraft that were to be upgraded in Ukraine are reportedly stuck in Kyiv, and the local upgrade in India was stalled due to the departure of Ukrainian engineers and the shortage of spare parts.

Why don't tell the truth ?
This visit has nothing to do with peace.
The engine for India war ship ordered before the youkrain drama still in youkrain.
    Modi try to get them.
The Zorya-Mashproekt complex in Mykolaiv, vital for the production of turbines used by navies worldwide, including India’s, was targeted by Russian forces in March 2022, severely crippling its operational capabilities. The ongoing war has only exacerbated these challenges, with Mykolaiv’s strategic location making it a frequent target of shelling and infrastructure damage. The impact on Zorya-Mashproekt is particularly significant for India, which relies on these turbines for its warships.
Modi’s visit to Kyiv offers a strategic opportunity for India to explore new avenues of cooperation with Ukraine. One potential area of collaboration is the establishment of joint ventures in India, where Ukrainian technicians can work alongside Indian counterparts to set up manufacturing units. Bharat Forge’s recent acquisition of a 51 per cent stake in Zorya’s India arm could be a foundation for such a partnership.
