- In todays video I show y'all how I disassemble the front pieces of my truck to color match them! There has been tons of questions on how I took some of these pieces off so here you go!

Dude looks so sweet awesome job! I would’ve took the big bottom filler piece to a local body shop and have it sprayed summit white so you could get better gloss. Everything looks great though man :-)

Why paint the interior PC's. Remove and wrap them with vinyl then if you want the original look back you can just peel them lol. Easy stuff.
I like the bottom part black or off....personal opinion. I'm thinking of removing that damn lower spoiler thing to gain a little ground clearace, its gona be the first to break or plow sand entering beach access areas. Thanks for showing those clips, encounterd similar with 2018 camaro lower bumper trim I painted....they suck!
Be proud. This thing looks fucking badass. Im really jealous, I have a '19 rst that I couldn't find in white with the features I wanted. I have shadow grey, and will be painting my tow hooks in a few weeks, once it warms up a bit more. (Likely red) and I hope that one bolt was justcan oversight. If not, plastic wrap it is.
The spray paint looks really good man! Maybe wax those pieces to get the gloss you want too.

U should try the 2k clear coat in an aerosol can I think it’s made by spraymaxx ! It would give the paint a lil bit more durability and I’ve protection and make it extra glossy same as factory paint !
Looks so good. I wish I had the confidence to do stuff like that, but I’m always too scared that I’m not going to do a good job lol
worse case if it does mess up you can always just plastidip it all black and still look pretty good lol
What do you think about combining a Heritage bowtie and an illuminated bowtie with the rivets

Easier way to get off the bowtie on the front...use an old credit card or plastic card to start. Slide it behind on side and then use a plastic wedge. Sliding from top to bottom..repeat on other side and in less than 2min the front bowtie is off. Easier than removing whole front grille.
The gloss black you used for the outline of the bow tie. What’d you use?
Looks clean AF brotha. Do you have a video on painting your head lights and how you tinted them? Wow you have a z71 so it just clicked that your grille and headlights are factory painted to match you didn't have to do that. Mine's an LT non-z71 so they're chrome I want to paint both white. Still would like to know if there's a custom tint film or if you painted them to make them darker.

I painted my little bumper piece last night, and tried clear coating it this morning aaaaand... the paint started wrinkling up. So I drenched it in gas and peeled the paint off. Back to square one
So ive been looking to color match my chrome bumpers as well, however, ive heard paint doesnt stick well to chrome. After a year, have u had any issues?
how did you chop the bolt for the drivers side hook? angle grinder? looks like you got them aligned properly as well
My only concern with the hooks is when you go to use them. But loving the storm trooper look.
Oh if you use them the paint will be ruined for sure lol i don't plan on ever using them though.
@@lmfscrew how did you get a new bolt back in? In theory, if the bolt can’t come out (because of the attached washer) it can’t go in. Did you just get one without an attached washer, or add a washer to a regular bolt? Something else?
You can do a plasti dip with a glossifier Plasti dip for something less permanent
Is there a clear coat in the paint or did you clear it after you spayed the stuff?
What was the color called you used to match the summit white? Did you use gloss after you painted the parts white?
any knowledge on how to paint the chrome pieces of the grill on a 17 Silverado midnight edition 2500hd??? im stuck and hate chrome
If the bottom mustache whole black section ripped off can you replace just that or whole painted bumper and lip kit

If and when you remove your hooks again, the driver side hook bolt that gets stopped by the verticle tacked nut, is easy to get by if you go behind it rather than infront of it. I got mine out no problem with some finessing no cutting.

@@barretembry3469 in the video, one of his hooks he struggles getting a bolt out and cuts it.
What do you mean go behind it? Like use another bolt to hammer it out?
@@yaluis8971 when you are backing the bolt out, it end up hitting a vertical bolt. Trying to go infront of the vertical bolt is impossible, it will just barely back out behind the verticle bolt.. hope that helps.
Tint your windshield it will look perfect
I’m having trouble trying to get the clear coat to adhere to the gloss white. It causes the white to wrinkle up and ruin everything. I’ve had to redo it 3 times now

Hey bro how did you remove the license plate bracket?
I removed my bow tie by carefully sliding a thin plastic tool in and releasing the tabs in the right direction. Yep, cut it and go back the other way with a different bolt.
Did you use clear coat as well? If so how many coats
What exact brand did you use for clear coat?

Nice truck i just came across your videos. I have a question is your truck the 6.2 and is 4 wheel drive better than 2 wheel drive. Im thinking about getting a chevy 1500 or gmc 1500 what ever on i can get a good deal on appreciate it
His truck is a 5.3L with four wheel drive. 4 wheel drive is better if you’re going through a lot of mud, sand and stuff like that. If you mainly drive on pavement you’ll be fine with 2wd. 2wd weighs several hundred pounds less so you’ll probably get better mpg. Also, a 2wd with good mud tires or all-terrains will be better in the mud and dirt than a 4wd with street tires. There’s several factors that go into it, but ultimately the questions is: What do you want?
I know you have the 3 inch leveling kit and the upper control arms. Could you link me the exact upper control arms? I’m on the website right now and want to make sure I have the right thing

The Z71 would look good if you left it all white but paint the inside of the letters black

How you took out the Z71 badge ? I tried it with the fish net and it won’t come out. It has two clips but I don’t want to break it
They aren't clips, they are just alignment pins.

Dylan Licka 3 rivets, gotta drill them out then I used little bolts to put it back on.

They come factory with felt liner.
Mine only came in front with it

That's is the only way to get the driver side tow hook out is to cut the bolt
