    If I have an error with the DPF with a yellow sign error, will a force regeneration succeed to cleaning my DPF, My friend he has a Ford S-max where the yellow sign is popping up every time he start the car. If the Autel Maxicom MK808BT is the solution I will recommend him to invest in an Autel car diagnostic scanner. It will also help me. I own a BMW 525D which need to run regeneration on the Dpf. My neighbor has a Mercedes diesel 2007 SUV where the engine power has been reduced. The workshop has replaced 4 turbochargers, but still he has lost engine power. I recommend him to do a force regeneration on the DPF, but he does not listen. He believes a Mercedes workshop know what they are doing. He has spend over 2618 Euro.

    One word dpf and cleaner long run hold in 3rd or 4th gear 70mph will clear the dpf issues thank me later

      An active regeneration will be performed best in highest gear at 70, as per GM's instructions

    Hey. I have two questions. I did a forced regeneration for an Opel Insignia. The oil change took place 2 weeks ago. Do I need to recharge the oil? Also, the car smoked a lot through the exhaust in the begging. However, at the end of the process, smoke was coming from the DPF filter itself. Was that normal?

      I assume its normal. The regeneration rises the temperature in the exhaust system, so that stuck particles in the diesel particulate filter get burned. Hence the smoke from the exhaust and the DPF filter. I wouldn't recommend it if its not nessary because of the thermal stress.

    I've tried and it goes into Limp mode and doesn't clear it drove 3rd gear 3000-3500 revs for 30 minutes (turning around at 2 roundabouts) think it's completely sooted up maybe.. there's a cap that got replaced that is now stuck open also, really struggling with it. engine light nearly always on.. if it's not engine light it's service light. I've tried DPF cleaners Redex and Dipetane.. going to fill with premium diesel plus dipetane then give it another run. If that fails, look into the spray dpf cleaner down the sensor hole.... if that fails god knows. Too much to replace the entire DPF.. Garage I go to said he doesn't clean them. It could be cleaned to only come back in a week or two from Halfords, or a mobile cleaner.... I hate DPF's. I'd give this a go if I had one of those tablets but can't afford over £1000 XD learned a bit more.. if I had a car lift I'd replace the damn thing easy XD

    Can this software run on a regular android phone plus bluetooth dongle (Obdlink LX)? Isn't the MaxiCOM device just an android tablet?

    i see you have quite a high mileage 1.6 engine . still the first timing chain ?

      I Know a guy who done 242,000 miles in his Insignia 1.6cdti , he had no chain problems at all.
      He was a taxi driver and the oil was changed every 7k miles though.

    • @stayfix27
      @stayfix27  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yes still original timing chain - currently 195000 miles.
      I change oil every 6000miles or 10 000km and I bet that's the key for healthy engine 👍

      I've just sold one with 150 thousand on. Never had a timing chain. Oil changed every 10k. The chain sometimes rattled at start up, but it did this from day one at 22k. The fix for it was a cheap part that cost a fortune to fit due to taking all kinds of bits off for access. Sometimes it rattled every start up, other times it wouldn't do it for months. 🤷

      How often does it need to be done?

    • @Nemesis-yn5wv
      @Nemesis-yn5wv 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No that won’t work. It isn’t just rpm that does this. The ecu retards injection timing amongst other things to achieve the regeneration.
