    Just bought a '95 tdub. Found your channel by just doing research on the bike. I make videos at times. Nothing spectacular but I enjoy it.

    Funny how we were just talking about this on the TW World F.B. group. Thanks for the video. Also thanks for letting people know about the idle screw and the bracket change out. The Chinoiscarbs really screw up cable tension with the old bracket in place.

    Found you looking for TW videos. Front fork spring change was the first one I watched. Thanks for your comments about the pro cycle heavy rear spring. Was thinking about going that direction, but I’m only 205. Thanks for the content.

    Found this channel because I plan on swapping out my carb on a 2010 TW200. I have never done this job before. Slowing down a bit and explaining each step would help - thanks.

    On a TW200 I just worked on the float pin and seat were not worn but the o-ring on the seat was hard and letting fuel past. Had to take the bowl off to replace a ten cent part.

      @@GasTachs yes, I purchased a new 2021 in October 2020
      I have been adding mods to it ever since. Skid plate, foot pegs, bar risers and new bars. I also added a new rear rack. After seeing your video on changing the front fork springs and rear spring, I am going to do that as well. I am about 6’ and 250ish, lol.

    Thanks for the video! I just bought a 2013 T-Dub with 1400 miles. Since it hadn't been used much, maybe 300 miles of usage since Aug the pilot jet seemed clogged(at least partially) It ran ok once warmed up, but would not idle worth a crap. From research it seems the stock carb has pretty bad jetting, so a lot of people have had the same problems. I just ordered the knockoff from Amazon, and was wondering other then the swap over with throttle bracket, and idle adjustment cable did you make any other adjustments to the air screw, etc? Are you still happy with it? Any issues?

    • @GasTachs
      @GasTachs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Still works like new. The about of S#£T I got from people changing it out from OEM to cheap aftermarket was crazy! But all works! Good luck!

    • @josefmd
      @josefmd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GasTachs Teikei, with Yamaha backing, built a factory in China (about 5 years ago) that builds carbs. So before that there was no knockoffs. So the quality of these carbs looks to be as good or almost as good as the OEM. The only thing I had a issue with was swapping over the OEM cable idle adjuster. I couldn't get it threaded back in the new carb. Ended up just putting the stubby one back in. Bike is def running a lot better with the new carb.

    Funny, I wanted to know if the TW200 was carburetored. Your video showed up and decided to watch. Looking to purchase a small street bike that I can throw in the back of my pickup when I go camping. ...the harley is just toooo big. fyi would like to know more about your experience with this mycle. How long have you had it... pros and cons... stuff like that.

    • @GasTachs
      @GasTachs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve only had it for a year and soley purchase it for the back of the camper. I’ve put 600miles on it. The biggest con (which is easy to fix) is the top speed is 50ish and it feels like the bike is about to explode. A simple sprocket change will fix that. Pros are it’s light, has a big payload and is small enough to have fun!

    Anyone else have issues with this carb's choke/enricher not working out of the box? I can pull the choke plunger fully out, and absolutely no change in engine RPMs. Outside of that, the carb is running great.
