    Maybe I missed something Dan but I didn’t see any kind of a padded surface for the boat hull to rest on. Is it resting directly on the aluminum runners?

    • @FloridaFishingCouple
      @FloridaFishingCouple  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So the aluminum brackets the boat rests on are covered with a poly composite material much like decking to avoid scratching the hull. The material will last much longer than the normal carpeting which tends to tear and wear thin over time. These should never have to be replaced.

    Im in SWFL and actually am interested in installing a boat lift in my back yard canal and have no idea what the costs are. Can you tell us a range of price for a 10k pound lift like yours?

    • @FloridaFishingCouple
      @FloridaFishingCouple  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do ours is a 15K lift: the boat is 28 feet. A 10k lift should run between 18-22k. Electric (210) and the permits are usually extra. Then their are options such as composite bunks, high speed motors, etc. that will cost you extra. You can your local installers and they will give you an estimate for free of course.

  • @MAGAMOFO
    @MAGAMOFO 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for sharing. Now I know too! May I ask how much that cost? I want to guess 8500.00?? I will need one when we move down to the Keys in a few years!

      @hookednrolling2009 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      He said 25 k pirate start saving

    • @FloridaFishingCouple
      @FloridaFishingCouple  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So, depending on the size and weight of your boat will determine the overall cost of your lift. Our lift is 15k pounds - however a smaller boat may only need a 10k lift. Of course there are additional options such as high speed motors, aluminum bunks, walkway, and other add-ones that will affect the final cost.

    • @FloridaFishingCouple

      So we opted for the high speed motors rather than the normal ones. Truth is we could have went with the regular motors. The lift just takes a little less time with the high speed ones. Total cost without the electric hookup ( we had to have a trench dug) was close to 25k with the platform.
