Hi Craig I last visited the area of Chrome and Parkhouse when it had snowed. I was hoping to capture the classic shot with the wall as viewed from Hitter Hill but there was dense fog so I could see nothing 😂 I then headed over to Chrome and Parkhouse and was walking across at one point carrying my camera on my tripod over my shoulder.......I then slipped down a slope for about 50-60m!! Thankfully a chain link fence stopped me at the bottom of the hill 😮 I need to return to try and get some decent images from this location as I've got nothing so far. I like the idea of the drone shot to get the height and separation between the top of the main tree and the tree's in the background 👍
Hi Paul, The drone shot worked well separating the trees. Next time I will climb up higher to see if that composition is achievable with the still camera. I had a few wobbles walking along the slopes. I dread to think how hazardous the walk up there will be in the dark for a sunrise shoot. When you view some of the images taken there, people have been very lucky with the conditions and I suspect it will take a number of visits to capture something special. Thank you for watching.
Hi Steve, the reccy was the easy bit. the challenge will now be for the conditions to be right in my 2 week window. I will need some luck with our great british weather but will give it a go all the same. Thank you for watching.
Cracking shots mate. Walking those extra miles really paid off. I'm too lazy, if I can't roll out of my car into position, or risk dropping my MacDonald's, I'm out.
Hi Eddie, The walking might have paid off but my legs felt it the next morning. Looking for somewhere flat for the next video maybe Lincolnshire 😆. Thank you for watching.
Hi Craig, I really admire your video content as they are always basic and down to earth, in a very positive way. I’m also a Nottinghamshire lad and if ever you fancy a photography companion on one of your outings then give me a shout. Keep up the good work
Hi Mark thank you. I am a bit of a lone photographer when out filming and find it hard to talk to camera when people are around even when Helen is out with me I have to get her to turn away when I record and I still fluff my lines. However I might start going out occasionally just to do photography for a change without the stress of filming a vlog. So I might give you a shout. Thank you for watching.

Well done Good light and skies make good photos for a "recky." Looking forward to the planned image video.

It’s great to plan shots around where you live , the best time of the day, then there is the weather…

doesn't everyone shoot this?
Yes, and they will continue to shoot this for a very very long time.
