Ya, I've done this mod twice now and it's definitely easier the second time around. I could see if you're taking your bike offroad for multiple days it wouldn't be that hard to take the assembly off and on.
Cool idea. I bought my Ultra Bee in February this year (I live in Mongolia) and just removed the entire assembly. Since I live off-road, I also ride off-road so I don't need any lights. I removed everything except the headlight to minimize weight and save stuff from crash damage. I drop the bike a lot because my riding area is very technical and rocky. Those rear blinkers are very vulnerable.
@@jordandoherty5698 Tell that to my broken rear blinker on my Storm Bee. I think they might take a single accident but repeated falls off-road, or hitting rocks and they are not built for that kind of abuse. I removed my rear assembly right away. If I want to sell it or ever need to ride on public roads, I can put back a pristine rear assembly. I've already broken or cracked the flag-style hand guards, the front mud guard, the headlamp cowling etc. I ride rocky terrain.
Ya know they do sell tail light brackets basically that size for just 20 on eBay and they look clean,, sorta just like your finished product .. either way,, I just need to figure the wiring out since I’ve got the off road version .. but it’s all. Good since I got it for just 5k from someone who I guess flipped it one to many times .
Dope vid bro. Just got done doing this to my bike, went smooth for the most part. I did accidentally snapped one of the bullet connectors, does anybody know what size those are? I just heat used a heat shrink to hold them together in the meantime.
nice work bruv, any chance of modifying this ultra bee bracket to go on the light bee? i need a solution, the weak ass tail tidy i have for it can't handle anything off road, the wheel ends up eating the plate as it just bends when you hit anything rough.
Potentially if you screw the 4 holes into the bottom of the seat. That being said, you would need to wire the light as well and I'm much less familiar with LBX. This is a big unit altogether and I do know LBX's are smaller so I would do some research before you start the project.
How did you do the wiring ? I'm looking to add one myself. It's a different style but same idea... Blinkers and brake lights. Mostly how did you tie the brake light to work when then brakes on

From what I’ve tried is you (need) the transformer to use the asain plugs in the standard us 110v wall outlet. It pretty much elimstates the under seat charger storage because you need to bring the transformer with you.

Not necessarily they setup to bend and if you drop the bike they will just spring right back into place

if you use rivnuts you can mount the light assembly back cleaner. hack saw or a jigsaw will get you cleaner cuts also, thanks for the vid

I'm not sure if the offroad versions have the same wiring harness that can accommodate blinkers but let me know how it goes.

Bought mine from an authorized dealer. No brake lights or turn signals😢. What color are the wires? That will at least help me figure what goes where

this bike came with blinkers stock. Not sure how to add them if your ultra bee doesn't already have them.

Ya you can drill the holes further back and push it much further underneath the fender
