It's a boss piece of kit! Especially for the money... definitely tougher than the ftx range, and better quality too. Parts are cheap, but not as cheap as the ftx... start him on 2s though, I'd say, just so he doesn't break it straight away 🤣🤣

The bodies are really weak on Mavericks, they are not Lexan. Needs Gorilla tape or drywall tape/Shoo Goo inside the body. I was not happy with the amount of flex their was with the motor/mount/center diff assembly, if you push the rear end of the motor down. The amount of movement/flex their is with the motor, motor mount & entire center diff assembly is alarming, that is why I made a 2 piece tower to tower center brace. That also attatches to the center brace assembly, the difference between any movement now of the motor, center diff & front / rear towers/gearboxes is 1000% better. No more bent front driveshafts, probably also going to fit a chassis bash bar under the chassis as well.

Yea the shells are weak af, was the same on my old quantum flux mt...
I believe the clear body is stronger, so I'll probably order one of those when this one gives up.
Yea, there's a lot of flex in the motor! I watched a video on TH-cam, this guy 3d printed a motor bracket that takes the flex out. A viewer suggested on my previous video to turn the heatsink around, and that has taken some of that flex away.
A centre brace is a must! I'm gonna work on making one in the future.
Yes, a bash bar is a great idea! Not sure if I'll get round to that one though tbh, I don't have the tools for it lol. Let me know if you make one though please buddy, would be interesting to see how that turns out!
