Funny story. It really is true that wearing a suit these days makes you look like a powerful man, because folks have gotten so used to everybody looking shabby or at the most casual. I wore my suit to school the other day for a presentation, (full suit with a nice red tie and pocket square) and the faculty mistook me for somebody important. lol.

Just got 4 pairs of sweaters, two turtle necks, and two crew necks. I can’t do Marino wool, I am allergic to it’s coarse texture on my skin. It makes my skin itch. Awesome video review bro.
I would add Clark’s Desert Boot or Wallabee boot for casual instead of sneaker, which I only wear for running or working out. I’ve had Ace Mart shoes and would not recommend them. I agree with you about graphic tees. You should only wear them if you are getting paid. You failed to mention a pocket square with a suit. As fare as watches I love my Submarine for casual but dress you need something different then a dive watch such as a tank watch, which I love for formal dress.
You missed out the polo shirt , either long or short sleeved. They’re versatile dress them up with a blazer and trousers or down with jeans … they’re a classic and a must have for every man.
I’m a watch collector and I love the point about watches. I also love divers and how if it’s a pretty diver you can dress it up or down really nicely and they are just the coolest.
A watch is definitely a must have!!
I would add sunglasses to this list, for sure. Sunglasses can make you instantly cool and somewhat mysterious.

Edit: it's important to get the right frames for your face. Maybe I notice glasses more because I wear them too, but they can really be an asset

@@moorshound3243 it all applies to prescription shades as well, which I wear myself. Yes they're going to cost a little more, but if you take care of them they'll last for years and years.

I have a very cheap suit jacket and slacks that don't even match (suit jacket is navy blue and slacks are black), and yet I still get compliments. A lot of them. Even a cheap suit will make you look good compared to what so many men wear these days, mostly because a suit is specifically designed to do just that.
Of course, I say it's a cheap suit jacket, but it cost me 12 hours of work before income and sales taxes. "Cheap" is a bit relative. I did get mine at a dedicated menswear store instead of on Amazon or at Macy's or something.
Yeah just make sure it fits well. I also definitely don’t have the money for a proper suit right now. Doesn’t mean I can’t look good tho!

Antonio, just recently been watching all your videos and LOVE your content my man! Recently got boots that you suggested and love them. Will look into your shoe suggestions as well. My problem at present is trying to find the right leather jacket to fit me! I have a Members Only leather fitted jacket from the 80's that fits me perfect! (I'm a 44L) But as my wife tells me, it is pretty worn out! (I admit it is worn out!) But I can't find a newer jacket to replace it! Can you find a retailer (online or a retail store) that sells leather FITTED jackets that would fit a guy my size,(I'm am 6' 2.5") that would fit me in variety of styles. Thank you for all the advice you give. P.S. - I like that you refer to us guys as 'Gents" that shows CLASS my man! Thank you once again!

Personally I use graphic tees as a base piece. I like to wear them tucked in with a solid pair of jeans, a nice leather belt, boots and then a fitted jacket or coat or flannel. The graphic tee ads a nice pop of color to my wardrobe
Graphic tees were always a no-no for me, but you do you man, whatever makes you feel rocking

Haven't been a fan of graphic T-shirts since I was a teenager and even then they were at least tasteful but now in my 50s I would look silly trying to look like a teenager and so do men who can't make the leap from childhood to adulthood.

Style does not come and go...fashion does. Things go in and out of fashion because it is imposed externally. Style comes from within and is a constant. You’ve either got or you havn’t got style...it can’t be taught.
Interesting comment on the need for a jacket. Now that I'm in my 50s, they say I can't wear a leather jacket anymore. I've own several over the years in different colors, styles and materials. Black leather moto, tan suede trucker, brown leather belstaff type motorcycle. Though, always simple, clean and unadorned. Really want to get a leather Cafe racer but in a different color - oxblood red. I find denim or Jean jackets to be ubiquitous. I like the cut and style, but think guys should look at different materials and colors. Todd Snyder makes trucker styles in suede and corduroy. I might buy a corduroy in olive for the Fall. Thanks.

What you have never mentioned in all the videos I have watched are real winter jackets to wear when it is from -10 degrees down to -20 degrees and there is snow. And you have discussed how to take care of the shoe but never how to take care of suits, wash the sweaters and be the same pants, shirts and more. Must discuss how to care for and store their clothes and then wash them. Whether to wash or not ties and how to store them. For this you also have to address and it is very important.
Leather jackets are more of a transition weather pieces. If you want leather jackst that is warmer,there are some with wool. For suits you need to dry clean them
So according to you, only a leather jacket applies, you have not thought that not everyone wants a leather jacket. Then you also miss a lot when it comes to clothing care in the best way by just mentioning the suit. It is equally important to take care of all their clothes in a legal way and there are certainly many men who know this at all, therefore it is important to teach this to many of the followers.

Clothes care is just as important as wearing the clothes, and poorly cared for clothes look ugly and they are destroyed more quickly. Ask your mother to teach you about clothes care.

Why do you always recommend grey or navy suits rather than black suits?
I had to buy a suit last minute for a big award ceremony last year, and was SO LUCKY to have a local business owner- who knew how to dress properly - shopping at the exact same time as me! He offered plenty of tips, and ultimately purchased my whole outfit for me!

The basics don’t really apply to me. As a Catholic Priest I am relegated to a very strict wardrobe. I am going to see a tailor on Tuesday to make some adjustments. That’s all I can think of to do. If any of you have any suggestions I am willing to try.

Regarding graphic Ts, "If you are not being paid by the brand..." Good point. And while no one should ever wear a t-shirt that says, "I'm with stupid" or whatever, there are opportunities where a graphic t-shirt could have an inspirational message about mental health or something that is important to you that could positively affect others who see it.
