The Odyssey, which is where Captain Nemo got his name. While yes that is the Latin version of the word rather than the Greek, Jules Vern was making a reference to the Odyssey when Odysseus (or in the Latin Ulysses) tells the Cyclops that his name is "nobody". So it is a literary reference that was then used because of familiarity.
