The last clip makes me think deeply and gives some sympathy to Goro Miyazaki, Hayao Miyazaki’s son. They rarely spoke to one another, If old Hayao spent less time honing his craft and spent more time studying how kind, loving, empathic, American fathers treated their sons, his relationship with Goro would be much different but better. Instead what he “taught” Goro was that he was less important to him than ordinary people who’ve never seen his face, in person, in other parts of the world, and Goro learned it so well, it’s perhaps the catalytic reason why they don’t get along so well.
I love all the Indy’s. But Last Crusade is my favourite. Ford and Connery have just amazing chemistry. So much star power, humour and on screen charisma. it’s a shame we didn’t get another film with the both of them.
This was our best movie with my dad. Pure brilliancy from Sean Connery. Still have goosebumps as my dad passed away 2023 march , so many emotions and nostalgia for me. Sean Connery was favoured actor for both of us.
Watching this makes me so sad, knowing that Indy 5 will not live up to the excitement I felt while watching this in theaters, all those years ago. I can’t tell you how much I miss blockbusters that were made with 100% practical effects, interesting dialogue, characters you care about, and a story that keeps you fully immersed! It’s crazy how much more rich and vibrant this 1989 movie looks compared to its 2008 sequel!
Janusz Kaminski (Spielberg's director of photography since Schindler's List) is a genius cinematographer. But like you said Kingdom of the Crystal Skull looks off compared to the originals and I've noticed the same "look" in all of Spielberg's films since and it's bothered me.
Last Crusade is the best written of the Indy movies. Raiders has the more iconic scenes, but the writing and the human emotion altogether is better with tLC. As for ToD I cringe the writing follows slasher/horror flick tropes, complete with the ditsy blonde
Raiders and TLC are the best. For me I like KOTCS and TTD on a lower but equal level. The opening and the ants in KOTCS are great moments. Just a few things I wish they had done differently.
I love the approving look that Henry gives Indy when he uses the pole for jousting... turned disapproving when he shoves it through the spokes of the chasing rider.
The Dad stare which I well remember being on the receiving end of more than once down the years, and one which my own son has claimed to have gotten from me 😂
Sean Connery.. one of the all time great gentlemen of the world...not only as a fantastic actor but a wonderful human being with his work to help others.... REST IN PEACE old friend hope to see you again someday
bro, seriously, these two had best on screen chemistry ever. The Last Crusade is my favourite in the series just for Indy's and his father's adventure.
I love the irony of these old clips becoming viral as people flock to get a taste of what was while simultaneously the franchise is dead in the water thanks to the mouse.

Sean Connery has left this world, with a great reward, illumination... Gained by His Last Crusade for The Holy Grail in 1989... Rest in peace, Henry Jones Sr. You will be missed, dearly...
Raiders... The perfect adventure. 10 out of 10. Temple... A very fun but very flawed follow up. Solid 7 out of 10. Last Crusade... For my money, as good as the original. 10 put of 10. Crystal Skull... Same as Temple. Very fun but very flawed. Solid 7 out of 10.
This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Reasons: 1) One of the best movie soundtracks of all time 2) One of the best onscreen pairings in history. 3) Great comedic moments.
This will always be my fav movie of the franchise, and one of my fav Sean Connery flicks. As a boy watching this, I sided with Indiana for all of the banter between him and his father. But now as a young adult man I see that his father was right most of the time, and can now more than ever appreciate the beauty in a son having a bond with his father as adults. Despite any rebukes or regrets of old, it allows for a new chapter in the relationship. God this movie was brilliant.
Fun Fact: Leonard Nimoy was offered the role of Henry Jones, Sr. but was unavailable due to scheduling conflicts, I would've loved to have seen a Star Trek actor team up with a Star Wars actor in other words Mr. Spock as Han Solo's father but oh well, that would've been something.

Makes me wonder why Hayao - and so many other men like him - ever bothered to become a dad in the first place.
This Movie is a national treasure.. A rare delight watching these absolute legends together! 🍷
I love all the Indy’s. But Last Crusade is my favourite.
Ford and Connery have just amazing chemistry. So much star power, humour and on screen charisma. it’s a shame we didn’t get another film with the both of them.
You didnt did ya? You didn't bring it did ya? ...... YOU DID!
Altn8 I totally read that in Connery mode: "You Jjid!" Haha
Altn8 look can we discuss this later?
I should’ve mailed it to the
Marx brothers
Will you take it easy?
Take it easy? Why do you think I sent it home in the first place, so it wouldn’t fall into their hands?!
Liam McClure I came here to save you!!
Mohamed Ashian Oh, yeah? And who’s gonna come to save you, Junior?!
Gosh these two are just a masterclass in acting and bringing characters to life. Rest in peace, Sir Sean Connery.☂️💞
❤❤❤
Rest in Peace, Sean Connery. 2020 can't end soon enough.
This was our best movie with my dad. Pure brilliancy from Sean Connery. Still have goosebumps as my dad passed away 2023 march , so many emotions and nostalgia for me. Sean Connery was favoured actor for both of us.
This seems to take on a whole new meaning with Father's Day coming up.
Rest in Peace, Sir Sean Connery (1930-2020). Thanks for the many, many great movies and memories. You will be sadly missed, Good Sir.
The level of excitement for Connery at 1:29 gets me every time.
“My boy, we are pilgrims in an unholy land.”
No shit. Just the thought of being in Nazi Germany makes my blood run cold
@@justinratcliffe947 and this is before World War 2 broke out.
Last Crusade is the best written of the Indy movies. Raiders has the more iconic scenes, but the writing and the human emotion altogether is better with tLC. As for ToD I cringe the writing follows slasher/horror flick tropes, complete with the ditsy blonde
did you like Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?
Math Blaster lol. No one liked crystal skull. It doesn't exist. Not to true fans like us.
Well I liked it better then the first one. But you have a right to your own opinion.
Onl issue with Last crusade is it has some very odd almost cartoony moments in it
Raiders and TLC are the best.
RIP Sir Connery
As far I’m concerned, this is the last Indiana Jones movie.
RIP Sean Connery. He was a big part of my childhood with this movie.
The look he's giving Indy at 7:46 is absolutely hysterical
The Dad stare which I well remember being on the receiving end of more than once down the years, and one which my own son has claimed to have gotten from me 😂
We will never see his like again! Thank you Sir for all the great movie memories. RIP!
R.I.P Sean Connery... you are a big part of my childhood in this movie, a really big part... Fly high now old guy. 🕊✝️❤️
I remember seeing this with my Dad and was wonderful and special experience to share.
3:43 “Look what you did! I can’t believe what you did!”😂
Best father/son duo in cinema history, by far.
Better than Anakin and Luke.
My favorite movie EVER!
Rest in Peace, Sir Sean.
You were inspirational as Bond, but I’ll always remember you as Henry.
I love the irony of these old clips becoming viral as people flock to get a taste of what was while simultaneously the franchise is dead in the water thanks to the mouse.
Thanks to the Rat
RIP Sean Connery
Thank you for playing the best secret agent in fiction history and the heartwarming father of our favorite archeologist, we will remember you...
Always
For how many years must you have studied history to be *that* good at telling a late 14th century Ming dynasty vase copy...
"Jesus christ"
*he slaps him* 👋
"that's for blasphemy"
THIS IS A CHRISTIAN SERVER SO NO TAKING THE LORD'S NAME IN VAIN
@@quasicroissant Uh, no it isn't....
@STRIKERDelta2387 What isn't
@@quasicroissant Not a religious server for any religion. People can say whatever they want. Period.
@STRIKERDelta2387 It's a joke on the scene in the movie, you dumbass. Also, what isn't a religious server? What on earth are you on about?
Sean Connery has left this world, with a great reward, illumination...
Gained by His Last Crusade for The Holy Grail in 1989...
Rest in peace, Henry Jones Sr. You will be missed, dearly...
That “Junior?” Never gets old
Raiders... The perfect adventure. 10 out of 10.
Temple... A very fun but very flawed follow up. Solid 7 out of 10.
Last Crusade... For my money, as good as the original. 10 put of 10.
Crystal Skull... Same as Temple. Very fun but very flawed. Solid 7 out of 10.
MaximumMadnessStixon I love temple
Temple is 8 or 9. Crystal Skull is like a 2 or 3. Other two are 10/10 classics.
I remember not hating crystal skull as much as most people i gave it like a 7.5 when it came out
@@mck7646 Please, Willie Scott is bad enough on her own that TOD and KCS are about equal in terms of quality
You’ve got to love how Henry Jones Sr is more concerned that he might have smashed a valuable antique rather than his own son’s skull!
@@EditorOfSL "I'm sorry about your head though."
This is one of my favorite movies of all time.
Reasons: 1) One of the best movie soundtracks of all time 2) One of the best onscreen pairings in history. 3) Great comedic moments.
I love his dad's zeal for history and archeology. "And the tomb of sir Richard?... He was there? You saw him?"
R.I.P, Sean Connery
Glad to see Im not the only one here after his passing
What an icon.
Indy's dad, the hero we needed yet didn't deserve. May he rest in peace.
These are probably the best moments of a movie full of amazing moments. Gotta love the misunderstanding of the vase and Indy's head!
Theyre missing the best line, "They were trying to kill us", "I know Dad", " Well this is a new experience for me", "Happens to me all the time!!!".
Agreed. Great moment.
2:43 "Dr. Jones!" - "YES!"
“Who’s gonna save you?”
Shia LaBeouf?
Shame they did him dirty in the 5th film, even if it was better.
@@jessyleppert2 That would have been very interesting. You can't deny the chemistry between Ford and Connery though.
“I’ll never forgive myshelf...”
Your gone physically, but with us forever spiritually...❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏 rip Sean
When Sean hits Harrison it’s a real father son moment and it shows Indy that his father is letting him know that darkness will consume the earth,I love this scene
