- What's up Gunpla fam?
Today we cover the old MG Exia with a new color scheme. (it just feels right) Bandai did a great job with ecopla color variants, makes me want collect them all. wallets softly weeps Lets get to it. The build is exactly what you expect from a 2009 kit, maybe even a little better. Some minor seems and runner attachments in a couple less than favorable spots, but not very much and blends easily in the black. Articulation is exquisite with little hindrance. Just looks dark and menacing in every glorious pose. I would have preferred the ecopla decals to be water slides and not stickers. The amount of weapons that comes with this kit is awesome and subtle articulation mixed into the primary GN Sword and GN Shield. Finally conclusion of the kit is highly recommend buying it, if you can get it. Absolutely gorgeous kit on an amazing model. Thanks for watching make sure you subscribe for future content. Ended up getting this and the 78 a while ago. A part of me got a wild hair and wants to panel line them but can’t exactly decide on a color or if at all.

I've seen led lights that can fit within the GN drive, but they're sold separately, as well as the battery, I think the size is CR927, and I think the light itself can be turned on using a magnet.
That’s pretty cool. I like the magnetic activated lights. I’ve not seen it for this kit so I will have to check it out. Bet it looks good. Thanks for sharing
@@Dadlifegunpla If I remember correctly, I saw some on Amazon, that's also where I found the CR927 batteries. There is nothing to it, the LEDs have a slot where you can just slip the battery in and you're good to go. There are several colors to choose from.

@@Dadlifegunpla Don't know, but if you want lighting for the head unit, then I suggest getting a metal inner frame kit for Exia. Just as the name says, it's inner frame parts made of die cast metal, as well as ABS plastic parts. For the Exia, it comes with 2 led lights for the GN drive in front and back and I think there is a piece that you can put under the head unit for the LEDs to light the eyes, although you will have to remove the foil sticker for the eyes. I should warn you though, if you do this you'll need a pair of vice grips plyers because some of these pieces are super tight, as well as a little screwdriver for the tiny screws that go into the legs. I've done 2 of these already, the mg Barbatos and Freedom 2.0, you're fingers will take a beating but when it's done you'll have a mg Exia that can only be compared to a tamashii metal spirits figure, it'll be really cool trust me.😎👍👍👍✌️

@Dadlifegunpla I bought both. Debating on the 3.0 though 🤔 expensive and shop around first like I did the first 3 kit's.
@@michaelfuller7635 You won’t be disappointed. I picked mine up from the online expo last year. Drop a pic when you get it built. 3.0 is probably my least favorite (still looks good) but I wouldn’t mind having the complete set.
Question... Is the ecopla use the same architecture design same as the original exia MG? cause based on my experience building the MG Exia, its literally a hand grenade :(
Yes, its just a reprint in the Ecopla material. I found mine to be semi solid though. Now the MG Dark Matter Exia was worse for me for comparison.

@@DadlifegunplaI’ve always wanted dark matter exia but for the same reason stayed away. I’ve read mixed things about ignition mode and that’s the one I have but haven’t built yet I’m afraid of how it might turn out 😭
@@babyfinesse_ I understand stand that. Might worth having some model glue available for the bone moving parts. Lol does look great but yeah I leave it alone. Worth the build for the experience and I’m sure ignition is similar. You’ll have to lmk how it turns out when you do build it.
coming from astraea type F, what have you done on the hip weapon storage for gn blades?
I have mine displayed wielding them. So I haven’t done anything with the hip storage. Wasn’t my favorite design just because it didn’t hold well at all. What issue are you having with them?
