I'm telling you ma'am, we reallyyyyyyyy need some more DMX reactions. I've been trying to tell other reactor's in their comment sections but they are not hearing me, so maybe you will lol. This man was so important to the culture, people have no idea. I wanna see your reactions to not only his music, but his interviews (specifically his Westwood interview, exposing the Industry) his story/documentary, his feuds, funny moments, live performances, album reviews, everything because he deserves it🌹🌹🌹. We don't see enough DMX reactions on YT and that's saying something 💯💯
One of the most powerful songs ever created.... I was a young man when this came out ... My life could have gone many ways..... Even writing this is hard.... Thank you X... Hearing someone who went through similar things and was still standing.... Helped me STAND. Thank you brother.... Rest in peace 🕊️
She has empathy. That's an important trait to understand the life and struggle of someone else. The world would be smaller if we took time to feel each other.
I hung out with DMX on just one occasion here in Houston. He was a real one! What I appreciate most about his artistry is that he performed with no backup vocalists or hype man! And he commanded the stage as if there were 10 of him up there! 🙏🏽
Thx for doing this. X was a soul who went through horrible times and made it approachable to be sad/angry/depressed etc and find motivation therein while still recognizing the depths. RIP X
Kids need to be protected and deserve a stable 2 parent home. Great reaction. This is such a great DMX song. Rest in peace to DMX. When you can, react to DMX- where I'm coming from.
This is a very heavy song for a man with one of the saddest childhoods I've ever heard of. The song was only released in edited format, so you didn't pay the wrong version. DMX was essentially abandoned by his mother when he was 7, a reform school I think. She told him she was taking him on a trip to visit some place, when they got their he got out the car and she drove off and left him. Later, one of his mentors laced the weed they were sharing with crack and he became a crack addict as a result (he raps about it in the second verse). He was addicted throughout most of his rap career. Other rappers tell stories about how he was always outgoing and welcoming, but when he would smoke with them, he would never share blunts/joints. They did a documentary about it on VH1 before he passed away, and you could see how it affected him to talk about it even as a grown man.
Earl Simmons (DMX) father left at an early age. His mother took it out on him because he looked like his father. He recalled in an interview how she put him in his room for the summer. He was allowed out long enough to use the bathroom. She told him she was taking him on a special trip and put him in a group home for dysfunctional kids. The only person he knew unconditional love from, his grandmother, found out and went and got him. When he was forced to go back to his mother's he hit the streets. He was literally homeless and survived by robbing hustlers and drug dealers.
Just as dear mama was raps ultimate ode to a mother, dmx laid out raps ultimate ode to one’s self with slippin. He took us through a journey of his upbringing and what made dmx who he was, and the uncensored version makes the knife cut deeper into your ears. Hearing the rawness of addiction “.. look how that rock got him” and how things have to change, or “…to have to puff my L in the morning before I could fly….”, “…..did some coke now I’m ready to take something..” and describing how it tore him down. Such a sad song but he made it through his example such an inspiring song. It helped me get through my coke addiction 20+ years ago and get back on my feet 🙏🏼 f-in savour to millions I guarantee
great reaction! Love your deep thoughts quick backstory Dmx s mother abandoned dropped him off at a foster home she told him she was coming back and never did!.
This version is actually on the album so I think it's fine. The dirty version exists but in order to get clearance for the sample, they had to make it clean. The way it's cleaned up is kind off cool too (not just beeeps or empty spaces)
DMX was a lot like Tupac he was like a poet lot of DMX’s music show signs of his religious upbringing he had demons that eventually led to his death RIP DMX
I am not sure if you heard of Bone thugs n harmony-tha crossroads. The video is great. Just saying. Be nice to for you to react this. ( I know it’s not related to Dmx ).
Listen to "I Miss you". Its about his granny 🥹 - and in case nobody told you, when he was hanging around an older guy who was supposed to be like a mentor to him, he ended up lacing a blunt with crack when X was only 10 years old, i think was his age. Thats where his addiction started.
He had the perfect voice to put emphasis on punchlines. Poetic justice. DMX never slipped! 👊🏾👊🏾

When a strong and intense human being like X talks about weakness, it feels so uniquely real, because it is ❤
Thx for doing this. X was a soul who went through horrible times and made it approachable to be sad/angry/depressed etc and find motivation therein while still recognizing the depths. RIP X

Nipsey Hussle - Victory Lap next please RIP
There was extreme levels of abuse dmx went through with his mother. The dog scene was real too.
you should react to DMX - " Ready To Meet Him"
For a change of pace, look up DMX Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. It's hilarious.
If you have the time, research DMX interview where he discusses his older “friend” getting him hooked on crack.

...basicly: the blues, or MORE modern blues music. You could say the same about 2Pac's "shed so many tears", similar vibes anyway.
You did the wrong version. Always do the dirty version because there are things you miss when you do the clean version.
