Tupac was the gold standard of rap music. He wrote songs that were meant to shock the social conscious of his time. He spoke hard truths. This song was a real life story that sadly I saw play out everyday.... I knew many Brenda's in my old neighborhood.

Tupac was born in New York(Harlem) and spent time in Baltimore (both east coast). In Baltimore school of the Arts is where he met Jada Pinkett. I went to middle school with Jada I may add.

I struggle to remember any live performances by any pop stars that give me, goosebumps, butterflies, lumps in the throat or whatever you want to call it. On the other hand it is quite common for Floor Jansen and many metal singers to have that effect on me. I'm afraid there is a huge gulf in class between a) Floor, Simone, Sharon den Adel, Charlotte W, Anneka van Giersebergen, Dianne van Giersbergen, Tarja, to name but a few, and b) Harry, Ed, Kylie, Katy, Rita etc. Others will argue otherwise but to me there is no competition.
