A previous dog of mine had anxiety and unfortunately I had to give him away. Because I was not home enough in order to train them and resolve the issue. However they went to a great family and I'm very grateful for it I made sure of it

My beagle has severe separation anxiety, probably because she was abandoned by her previous owner on a busy highway and left traumatized. I have tried everything but have found nothing that works. Consequently I have to cage her when I leave and cannot take her with me, but I am never gone more than 4 hours. I have had dogs all of my life (77 years) and have never had to cage on before. I am at a complete loss as to what to do. I will, however, ask my vet about pheromone therapy.
