- Don and Dale fish with Dave Burns (The Golden Gillie) on the Upper Columbia River near Golden, BC for large Bull Trout. The water was high and murky but the guys are still able to land a few large, colorful Bull Trout. Dave ties 'Ceilidh's Comet' Bull Trout fly on the bench.

Great video! Headed out that way in late August to try my luck at hooking into a few. I'll be sure to tie some of Dave's flies. Also, did anyone notice the fish roll or aggressively take a fly in the background at 12:19? Very cool!

What lines were you using? Looked like a floating on the long rod and sink tip or sinking on the ghille’s rod. Correct?
12’ rod with a short (7ft) T-12 sink tip on a dry line.
