Great video! The hardest part of the game is micro-managing your units when you have 20 on the battlefield at a time. If you spend too much time focusing on 1 unit, others are being obliterated. Maybe I'm just too new at the game to be able to micro-manage my units yet. 🤷‍♂️

      Thanks.
Like anything it comes with practice you learn over time what you need to keep moving and what you can leave in position for longer. I am certainly no micro management expert :P
Learning hotkeys and using control groups help.

Well yes, and no. If you have 19 units obliterated while managing one it means that you didn't place them well and very on the edge of the frontline, you also used the shortest and the most visible route, and were reckoned long before you got to cover - and this, my friend, is a lack of experience, I feel your frustration!
Micromanaging in this game is really a mess, because you cant link units positions (inf of armor first) and speeds to the slowest unit. THere is also no delayed orders, like when the smoke falls - rush the town. Too much airplane babysitting. Etc, Etc
No wonder people buy only arty (the experienced arty people also buy a bunch of fobs) and just shoot anything they see

Good tips, most of them can be acquired with experience. Some tips to tips (lol):
    - Forest fights with use of transports and IFV's alongside infantry is a win combo for decks and nations, who lack good infantry weapons, such as USSR. Great example can be Motostrelki 90 with BMP-1D. This rifle squad is equipped with nice RPG with big AP value, the BMP is armed with AGS-17, which destroys any soft target very fast. This combo can counter both tanks and elite infantry in forest without any problem, yet being a relatively small investment.
    - Increase of tank ROF can be performed with ANY tank, which can shoot missiles with its barrel. I am not sure if this trick will work with tanks like AMX-13 with SS-11 ATGM. But most of such tanks belong to REDFOR arsenal. Notable BLUEFOR exceptions are Merkava 3D BAZ, Sheridan series, Starship series and MBT-70.

It is all stuff people eventually pick up, though the tank one is a bit hidden unless you do it by mistake.
I did not find out about that till much more recently ;)

Igla is not an abbreviation, it means "Needle" in russian, just like Strela means "arrow".

Hi, can you please make a content about wargame navy and its campaign, i can't defeat an AI lol in campaign

    • @Bandanner
      @Bandanner  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Naval combat is just a mess, it is rarely played multiplayer for that reason. Mostly an anti ship missile spam fest. Basically its badly implemented so if you are struggling you arent the only one.
I have an entire campaign play through up on the channel of the Hong Kong one. Worth watching that as you can see how I slowly adapt my play to deal with the AI :)
Oh and there are a few naval battles during that campaign. You want the pearl of the Orient videos on the channel.

    A misleading guide.
Squad size and veterancy doesn't matter. Stealth and optics values do.
2-man recon squads have exceptional stealth and that's what makes them less visible than other infantry squads that only have very good stealth. 2-man manpad squad is just as visible as 15-man marine squad and any of them is less visble than Tunguska with poor stealth.

Well that's fair as I did not explain well in this video, though the intent is not to be misleading. In an effort to keep is simple for people, I stuck to the principle that every 2 man recon squad in the game has Exceptional Stealth as you note (and all the others unless I am mistaken have less than exceptional), its aim is to try and encourage people to use recon better.
You have to remember, a lot of new players don't want to look at every individual stat of the units, so I try not to go into too much detail in every video, its something that puts people off the game, get people hooked first then let them get into the nitty gritty :)
If you watch my earlier dedicated Recon video I explain about Stealth and Optics being the deciding factor pretty much right at the start. This video was not intended to be such an in depth look.
Also higher veterancy increases the speed/identification of enemy units (its even on the vet tool tip), so it does matter. How much it matters to you personally is well up to you.
Thanks for the comment though :)

@@Bandanner i didn't imply "intentionally misleading" but you still contradict yourself and people may still start scouting with atgm and manpads rather than 10-man recon squads after this video.
Veterancy only affects the chance to identify spotted unit. Not the range at which it will be spotted. Better optics means higher chance and lower time between attempts. A low veterancy recon unit has better values than an elite infantry or vehicle. A low veterancy exceptional optics has better values than elite very high optics.
Also, i stand corrected: regular infantry have lower stealth than manpads, atgm squads and recon units (aside from sniper teams and other rare exceptions)

In real warfare your recon would almost ignorere the enemy recon as it is the main force of tanks bridgelayers and recovery trucks and MBT that is the main interest of the recon. But greate eksperiment :)
