    And for those of you who may be a little weary about upgrading a printer, the Ender 3 S1 is at Micro Center for $279 with a lot of upgrades included stock :) that's the printer I use and I love it

    3:12 please done use side cutters to cut the tube, use a utility knife or blade and saw the tube like a tree trunk, put medium pressure to ensure a straight cut on both sides

    I’m about to upgrade my ender 3 prong with more things just got it back up and running .i like the glass bed instead of flexible bed after a while flexible bed becomes damged from getting pieces off but i want to put a direct drive on my printer eventually.happy new years everyone and happy new years to my 3d printer nerds ❤❤

    I done the direct drive. Extruder mechanism that grabs the fillament on both sides, Glass bed, isolation foam under bed, belt tensioners, LED lightbar, Raspberry pi and rear housing for electronic.

      Doesn't it add too much weight to the gantry?

    Make sure you sand the aluminum bed and clean with IPA before installing Wham Bam magnet, for long life adhesion!

    Since the Ender 3 Pro has a factory installed magnetic base I saw no advantage of replacing the factory installed magnetic base with another magnetic base when I upgraded to a PEI build plate on my Ender 3 Pro. The new PEI build plate sticks very well to the factory installed magnetic base.
    The magnetic base will, however, be needed if one is installing a PEI build plate on an original Ender 3.

    Scrap the springs for Silicon bed spacers (Way better than any yellow springs) and get rid of the metal extruder for a DUAL gear extruder. Less slip with peace of mind.

    I bought 1 of these from Microcenter. Nice 3D printer! Already upgraded the PTFE Tube and 3D printed a filament guide before extruder. Great video but you did not really say what benefit there would be for these upgrades. Metal Extruder - eh, maybe after it breaks. Springs, yea I can see, levelling always a challenge, how much better are these? Nozzle, why .6 vs .4?

      I was thinking the same thing. New to 3D would like to know the benefits to these upgrades as well.

      well once you get the .6mm nozzle dialed in, theres minimal difference in quality from the .4mm and a decent little cut to time to print. also you can get some profiles setup with the .6mm that will print MUCH faster for rough drafts of parts youre testing.

    I bought the spring upgrade but the bed flexes if you thigh to down too much. And the nozzle hits the bed on the auto home function. Can you go more in depth on that?

      @atomicjon3354 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi,
      If your nozzle hits the bed on auto home. You should adjust your Z-axis limiter switch to be higher. If you got a glass bed, you want to make it a bit higher. Hope this helps

    So you buy a product that isn't up to par to do the job . You have to go purchase upgrades that cost more money the more time and labor to bring it into where it should be performance.
    ??? Just save the money and buy one that comes out of the box that needs no upgrades.
