Never clicked so fast SAAB 900 is my dream have 2 saabs in my household man you need to buy this lot of parts places in the US for esaabparts is a good one
Get the sabb
Buy the Saab. I had a 900 turbo convertible 20 yrs ago. Kept it 2 yrs and loved it. The day we sold it we drove to the buyer and almost turned around. We needed the money. I wish I had turned around. Loved that car.
That Saab looks so tiny next to modern cars!
Friend had a 900i and they sold it for a BMW 3 series. They were the original owner of the SAAB. They sold the BMW within 6 months and moved into an older Mercedes 280SEL. I think they regretted selling the SAAB as you did.
@@stevenhinds4907 Against SUV's, yes but not against cars. I think it's about the same size as my Kia. The Kia might be a bit wider. I think the large SUV's are at the end of their life as people seem to be moving to small to mid SUV's like the Outlander, Venue, Kona, T-Roc.
Brother Randy no doubt you could bring the Saab back to life. Do it bro
Yes! those old SAAB's where nice cars, but I don't trust them. Prices on the old convertibles are insanely high right now, at least over here in Europe. S(venska) A(eroplan) A(ktie) B(olaget) means "Swedish Airplain Joint-stock company" btw.
We NEED the SAAB on the channel!!!!!
I like u Jason 😊
Maybe, but repairing SAAB's and Citroën's is suicide......🙈
@@Weiseorgelspielernaaaa. I’m an idiot and I’ve worked on mine. Easy to get around engine bay
HURL!
I loved my old 88 Saab that got totaled. Please try to bring it back to life!
This was the best SAAB made and I owned one of these and it was very reliable. The engine is back to front
The saab would bring great content to the channel
You gotta get the Saab if for nothing more than the quirk factor. And they are worth some money. Wish it wasn't auto-tragic but hey we can't always get what we want
When my car was repoed in 1991, i borrowed a co-workers 1980's Saab . It was fun to drive....
Worth a decent amount of money the 900 turbo, plenty of owners clubs worldwide to help with parts 👍
As a Saab owner it would be lovely to see this one on the channel!!!! Please please buy!
My mom owned a new Saab 900 turbo back when I was a teenager and I used to love driving it. Had the famous turbo lag, but once it kicked in, it was a rocket ship.
Buy the Saab, its an interesting car. The engine is mounted backwards cause Saab engineers back in the day wanted the car to be smoother/better balance, downside to this its a bit cramped to change the belt and alternator but the clutch is said to be at the front of the engine so changing a clutch is really easy. I used to have a 1992 Saab 900 and it felt really well balanced in corners what I can remember, I have had newer Saabs but they dont drive/feel the same way as the old 900.
A Saab I love these cars I've had about 6 of them and loved everyone! Nice cars to drive I still have one in my yard with over 230,000 miles on it and it still starts right up ! Take a chance on it if you can get it cheap! I would love to see that on your channel!
Love the Saab!!
I had a 900 non turbo many years ago. These are from the proper SAAB era, really well built in Sweden. That mileage is not a lot for one of those. They are getting collectible in the U.K. now and the prices have gone up.
Only problem I ever had with mine was split CV boots and a new clutch around 90k.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it started with not much fettling, these things are tanks. Get it!
I'd for sure like to see it come back to life.
The Saab is the diamond in the rough
Very sought after but the automatic lets this one down. Well worth doing a light restoration but I'd be concerned with this one not running and Randy didn't try turning it over to see if it's locked. Hard to find a 900 Turbo of this era for under $20k for a good one. Plenty of the later GM ones but not many true SAAB ones.
That SAAB needs to be saved. I attended the Carlisle, PA import show every year and the SAAB presences is still huge. I’m thinking the clubs can help you out when it comes to parts.
Saab Story you should bring it to the channel!!
Saab was a cool car 1988 . Had a few myself in the great 1990😊 buy it , a real cool motor setup in it, very easy to wrench on . Here in Sweden a good example can be worth a lot of money, 20k to 30k easy .
A buddy of mine in the military had a saab 900 turbo convertible with the manual, what a fun car
Powertour with that Saab would be nice
Haven’t been watching your channel for YEARS but I clicked immediately when I saw the saab. I believe that rockauto has a lot of parts still for the saab and parts are not a big problem at least here in Northern Europe. Some specific stuff might be hard to find but turbo models aren’t really that much harder to find parts compared to n/a models. Pretty easy cars to work on also. You should definitely save the Saab!
I have a 1990 SPG and these classic 900s are so much fun to drive with a manual transmission.
I like the Saab. I know someone who had a 84 non-turbo. Very reliable engine.
Buy the Saab randy! I grew up with these cars and loved them. This was always one of the cars i loved and still do. A rare find.
i had a 1986 Saab SPG - when it ran, it was amazing. unstoppable in the snow, an absolute riot when the boost kicked (use both hands on the wheel) and the most unique looking vehicle on the road. but gah it was just always needing something
Get the Saab! I am excited!
My stepdad had a Saab 900 Turbo with a 5 speed manual and I loved it. It was such a fun and interesting car. It wasn't reliable. My step dad was always having to fix things on it and it was expensive, but it was my favorite car my parents had while I was growing up.
This one being automatic, I would leave it. Its probably too expensive to fix anyway.
Save Saab 👍🏴💪 it will make some great content!
Yes on the saab
Please, oh, please bring this SAAB back to life.
I owned on of these for many years in Melbourne Australia.
You will not be disappointed, and parts are available in the USA as there is a huge SAAB car club in the USA.
It's such a reliable vehicle and really fun to drive and super quick and quiet.
After everything you've been through lately a Saab may be one of the easier adventures youve taken on. Lol I personally like the gm era saabs more because parts are more plentiful but a classic 900 like that or a 9000 aero are what the purists prefer.
Hello Randy. The 1988 Saab 900 Turbo is a good looking car that needs a lot of help to bring it back to life. The Nissan Sentra is a good looking car with hail damage and a little rust.
Do the Saab! Really cool cars.
We need that saab on the channel
Wow I love a Saab
Saabs from that era had the engine drive belts on back of the engine
Get the Saab!! And that CRV seems like it could be a quick flip
I'm not a Saab fan.. but there is a virtually identical one on my street that's a daily driver (I assume as it's always in a different spot) the little wing thing on the back has duct tape holding it on... It's a piece of crap... But I love seeing it out there! Keep this one alive as well if you can ;D Oh, and hey from Canada! Love what you're doing especially the will it make it X amount of miles video's. :D
Also Randy bring a can of carburetor cleaner with you put it in your bag. If any of them wasps come at you can spray them with carb cleaner. You can also spray their nest and they drop instantly dead and then it evaporates it doesn't leave any residue and it's way cheaper than wasp killer?
SAAB IS A MUST TO GET RUNNING
This 900 is a powerful car. Parts is no problem. Save it. I drive a Saab 9-5 estate with tune up and 300 hk. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I have owned 1972 Saab 99E manual since 1982. They great old cars the 900 is the best of all of them. Bid on it they are a fun car to drive. Would bid $500.
Gotta go for the Saab i always wanted one of those i still see a few around my area
I would love to see the saab get revived on the channel!
Get that Saab! I’ve got a 2005 Saab 9-5 and love it
Please buy that saab it deserves a second chance at life
I love the Saab, i had a Saab 95 from 1998 it was greet a fast
I like the old saabs. I like the way you put the key in the floor board. If it was only a manual.
I had a 87 Saab 900 Turbo 5 speed it was white. When I got rid of it. It had just hit little over 300,000 miles on it and it ran fantastic. I got rid of it because I live in Boston and it was rotted with rust lol I had it for 2 years The only thing I did was replace the brakes and a few oil changes and your grand fantastic. Cool future that I thought was cool was that you could only start the car when it was in reverse it wouldn't stop otherwise lol That's how all the five speed manual transmissions were in those cars lol
BUY THAT SAAB , get it running and give it to Nick. Such a cool OLD car.
I drove around Denver in this model SAAB when it was new. It was comfortable and I remember it as a really unique vehicle. Fixing it will probably test your tenacity, but I think it will make interesting content.
SAAB is really cool like those crazy looking cars
Yes on the Saab
Yes spg was a very nice car very Rare to find them these days.
Go for the SAAB. Great cars and very smooth running cars.
I have had 9, including an spg. I raced several of them.
Loved them
Go for the Saab, great car !
Cool cars....i would go for it...good content....lots of new things to learn.
SAABS had a look that only their Mother would love but, I've always found them to be very interesting. My old GM had this same car with a Manual and it was an absolute Blast to Drive!! Its a cool car but, I'd run just because of the availability of parts. It would be cool to watch you wrench on it though! Believe it or not the CNG Civic has a market for it. We bought one on accident not realizing it was a CNG Car and we made money when we wholesaled it. I sold an Odyssey that had the same issue as the CR-V and it had jumped time. Great Video!!
Try to save the saab😂😂😂😂
Could be Nick new car?
Battery replacement
Those Saabs are great .
If you enjoy a project you should buy it and restore it. There are specialists out there who can help you source the parts that you need to do this .
Go for it Randy !
👍😀
That Saab is a Butterbody.
I have a 2002 sabb 93 turbo convertible as a toy they are great cars worth a buy randy
Hi Randy from Bristol UK, that Saab would make good money as it is over here, over £5k, in the best colour black, the bodywork looks good just flat, would buff up a treat.
The Saab would make for an awsome rebuild hopefully it would come to the channel🙏
Yessss buy ittt❤❤❤
Hey Randy I remember back in 88 when those cars came out they were very popular in California where I lived at the time they were like a status symbol if you have one of them Saab's? My dad's best friend he was an attorney and he bought one of the Saab 9000 turbos? That was their top of the line. That's the one you like to get if you could find one of those? But the Saab was very popular back in the day he used to drive a Pontiac Bonneville a 77 two-door before he bought at 85 Volkswagen rabbit GTI I think that's what it was called the sporty one that everybody wants today and they're worth a lot of money and then he traded that in for the Saab 9000 in 1988 it was just funny to see him go from a big Bonneville to a Volkswagen rabbit LOL
Pls save the Saab!
I love those 900 Turbos!
Yea, they are whacky looking, but I think they are pretty cool.
I say go for it.
Get the Saab
HD a 1990 900. 3 kids learned to drive stick in in it. It was a tank. Also has a huge hatch back. Put a stove from home depot in in it.
That Saab would be cool to bring to the channel
I know of one team of Saab mechanics here in Tampa Florida. It's called the Saaab store in Drew Park.
Here's your next swamp vet episodes which was amazing
I would watch all the videos on that Saab 900 if you get that Randy. I had a Saab 9-3 at one point and always wanted a 900 but never found a nice one. The CRV was clean but could need a lot. Same with the Audi as well. Try looking at the white Mercedes 35:23 right behind you. Looks good and maybe clean. Love the videos keep it up! Always enjoy them.👍
just commented on your other video about this saab. happy to see it :) watching here from sweden
So buy the Saab
@ that little Honda crv
Check out the picnic table they had Under the boot mat. Was a great table.
Go for that Saab!
Get the red Bentley manual for the Saab 900. The book is still sold everywhere, including on Amazon. Once you have that book, you can fix it anything on that entire car.
I had a CRV exactly like that one. Had it for years. Great car for Nick.
I like to see the sab 900 turbo
El saab es un auto que con sus formas te gusta o lo odias pero si que es un muy buen auto . Yo consideraria ofertar por este .ya es un clasico (aunque sea asi de feo) cómo siempre te saluda cordialmente un argentino desde España.
Big YES on Saab.
Get the Saab 100%
This was such a cool car back in the day. It was the star in a movie called Moving with Richard Pryor. It was fantastic 80's comedy at it's worst. I would LS swap it with a single turbo to keep it legit. And keep it as stock as possible. A forever head turner properly restored. I wanted this Saab for so long as a child with gold BBS wheels and the turbo. So cool to see one of those.
Get that Saab
To open the back of the crv there is a botton on the driver left side that opens the glass first. once you do that, you can open the door. It also has a picnic table 😊
Buy it
From the sound of the buzzer it needs more juice to crank it over.
Randy this is another example I’ll miss about you. Your jokes, your funny, and good car takes. But you gotta do what you and family decide to do. Love the Saab, and the other cars! Keep it up Randy!
What are you talking about? Considering quitting yt or what?
I think they just trolling 😂🤣😅 I watch all his videos as sure you do and neither one has heard about this hope it's not true though
@@TranquiloQuieto I watch every video too and it’s ok his IG lol
With that note of storage and the gas drained, that cut be setup as a removed plug or something that is disabled to not have anyone start it.
The Saab is awesome, give them an explanation of why the belt are upfront.
Hey Randy as a faithful viewer, I must tell you that the sabb would make great content especially if you were to jump out the box and fix it up 91 era style with some bbs rims it would do well and you would attract new viewers
Now I have to watch a bunch of Saab videos now.
Now that the whole country knows about the Saab 900 Turbo you better put in a winning bid ASAP. I just checked Rock Auto, there are a lot of parts still available for the Turbo 2.0 liter. They are good cars. Get it running and driving and sell it wholesale to a collector.
Saab❤
Buy it! $50 bucks and get it running! New project car! Lots of future content
Also, the CRV has a factory picnic table in the back! It’s the plastic cover to (what would be) the spare wheel in the trunk under the carpet I believe. It will have directions on how to unfold underneath that plastic panel thing
Honda CRV of these years last SO LONG and this one’s well cared for! They also sell REALLY FAST! And dam thing has a full tank!
I’d BET IT needs PLUGS or IGNITION COIL!
U can tell that when you diagnose says which ones misfire and u pull the plug and switch it with another and clear it and see if it moved to the one you switch it to
