Been a long time subscriber. Can't tell you all the products you've sold me on, but the Hotone Ampero is one of them. After watching your review, I immediately went online and ordered one. It supposedly was delivered today. When I get home and unbox it, I will go back and rewatch your Ampero videos to gain a better understanding of its capacity. Thanks for the lessons.

Great demo. I've been using numerous drum patterns in my Ampero and I've been curious about incorporating the looper also with drums. This demo is really going to help out, will just take some patience getting the drums to sit just right in the pocket for the looper.

You touch on an interesting point about the timing of samples to drums. It’s one of the hardest things to do when using sampler’s. I was hoping that the sampler would set it’s length to the measure of the beats. So as to say you could set your sampler to be a two bar or four bar sample and it would automatically fit in. Right now I just use the mathematics. If my Measure is 13.57 seconds long I know how long to set the sampler. And then it automatically fits and doesn’t run off.
These are hard to find right now, they are sold out everywhere. OMG, you rock. Killer jam.

Regarding the loop sync with the drums;
According to the manual (under the section about the Looper) it says there’s a drum sync mode. This is at least to start the drums. Do you know if it also helps you to end the loop on a new drum beat?
It would solve the timing issue, but I don’t yet have an Ampero to try with.

Man I love this pedal, been working on the loop with drum, like you said it takes practice. I found that if my loop is put of time with the drum I can turn off the drum then back on to get it in time as well. Still experimenting lol. Good video, hope you do some new ones. Thanks

I may be mistaken but on the Looper and the Drums I think I recall a "Trim" function that willl help auto sink the drums and loop timing together.

Is it a viable option for playing live? Can you keep the original tone of your acoustic or does the Ampero colour the sound? Also how does it deal with feedback? Thanks!
I think you are able to use the ampero with acoustic guitars even though I never did try it. The ampero, unfortunately is not with me. But I remember you are able to use acoustic IRs too✌️❤️

I have just got the hot one ampere one as a gift and I am a bit confused . I am a bit unsure how to change patch directly on the the looper page . Also what exact is rev and 1/2 speed ... both seem to just slow the sound big time . In fact when I save the third push button for FX is still only does 1/2 speed and rev. Am I missing something ?

Hi Jonathan. I'm really interested in this pedal. Is it possible to change bank while recording on the looper? Aka, I started with a clean sound recorded, then I switch the bank to a distorted sound and record it while the clean sound looping in the background. Then I solo over the clean and distorted sound combined loop. Is it possible to do that? Please let me know. Love your playing dude.
Thank you for your kind comments. You can't change psych with the looper on but you can have a patch with a distortion/booster effect programmed to kick in with the additional effect switch. 19:43 of the video 🤓✌️

From what my understanding is you need an additional midi control to change patch while recording on the loop? Can I record a clean patch on the loop, then I press the bank 3& control button to exit out of the loop, change the patch to a distorted sound and record distorted guitar rhythm over the loop? Or does the looper stops playing music when I press the bank 3 & control button?

Jonathan, Very informative video with good guitar playing. Thanks! I note your concern about how challenging it is to be precise when using the drum machine with the looper. On my Zoom G3n, I can mitigate this problem by putting the drum machine module before the looper module - and once the loop has been recorded (drum machine is recorded with the guitar), I can then turn off the drum machine. Loop that is playing will still contain drums. Any slight impreciseness in ending of loop is still there, but it is not very noticeable because it does not add up with the number of times the loop is repeated. Can something similar be done on the Ampero?
I'm not really sure... Will have to try it out 🤓✌️
Just saw that the online ampero manual shows a 'drum sync' button within the looper menu. Maybe that can compensate for any errors in precisely marking the end of the loop?

Just discovered a disappoint with the Ampero but its more of an oversight on my part for assuming that harmony meant it had intelligent pitch shifter but it just does pitch change to fixed intervals. Any chance for a firmware upgrade hotone. That aside still a grreat unit with SWEET tones. Thanks again Jon for your tone advice

Let me ask two another questions (the last ones, I promise!).
Regarding the pitch shifter... How does it sound and feels? Both as a standalone detuning and as a whammy like the DigiTech one?
And regarding overall tone... Your videos always sound awesome, but my main concern is to grab one and don't make it sound good... I have been gigging with an Atomic Amplifire for one year now and I am really liking it. But there came a time for an upgrade and I cannot afford the atomic Amplifire 6 lol

@ I guess the pitch shifter is ok.. And you can set it up to modulate like a whammy pedal. But again its very subjective as some night not be used to the sound and parameters... As for me I don't use the pitch shifter as much as I would like to. I would advise you to try a physical unit out at the store if you are unsure 🤓✌️

For the intro song, Its just the JMP800 with gain for rhythm and with a booster for the lead ...✌🤓

Sorry I’m not too sure about recording the drums into the looper as it works in sync.. you can record to garage band. Just play the loop with the drums and record

I have had mine for about a week, And it has bugs. When I click on the lower patches usually 93 thru 99/last patch the Editor crashes! Do u know a fix?.

Keep the receipt.. scan it & is the shop has an email. Attach the scanned receipt. You will probably have to wait till the shop opens for business again. Till then, just play And edit without the editor. Or you can search the ampereo forums for answers if possible.

There's no way to actually make the guitar loop match the drum loop is there? I have to time it pretty much perfectly or after a few repeats its completely out of sync, right?
at the time of this video yes...hopefully things have improved with firmware updates

Great bit of kit. But why on earth don't the developers use software to help you sync your loop and the drum pattern. Absolute nightmare trying to get them in sync. Also why don't developers loop the aux in like the fender gdec 30/15 brilliant idea and now they took it away.
Yes..I have sent feed back to them and hopefully something can be done. I do know that it's not that easy as they will have to incorporate a quantize algorithm in it.🤓✌️

Hi Jon how's your Ampero holding out? Ran into some problems with mine. Volume started fluctuating after few days and when did firmware update the expression pedal wouldn't work. Was quite a bummer had to gig over the weekend with old setup. Enjoyed the richness of the sound over old setup Fortunately Swee Lee changing the unit for me and hope its just off lemon. Btw in sg it has no warranty card bu you register online with Swee Lee .Sorry to bug you and have a nice weekend. :)

Jonathan Koh He means have one footswitch turn on multiple effect blocks at once. Like, for example, set footswitch 3 to be a solo boost switch which turns on a boost pedal, a small reverb and a small delay all with one push of the button.

Jonathan Koh Thanks so much for answering him, and me. This was the last thing to make me pull the trigger on the ampero. My main rig is a bluguitar amp1 (which is an amazing unit), but lately I just want a compact thing to gig with. I’ve had the headrush full size and the headrush gigboard before and were happy with those. I also had the HX stomp which didn’t really resonate with me all that well. This seems to be the exact thing I am looking for
