I just got my ampero from germany, i wish i would have waited until you started selling yours! They sent a euro plug, but luckily i have an adapter. Anyway, thanx so much for this vid, i'm looking forward to creating the most brutal and extreme sound i can with this thing, i really wanna use this and maybe a couple of other pedals to spice it up. but yea, I feel like this is "the one". I am currently running a mooer ge 200 on the left side and a pod hx stomp on the right, both going into 2 headrush 8 inch speaker frfr cabs. I then have xlr's going from the output of the headrush into my studio monitors as well. Its very brutal. To round out my sound I use a nux drive force for my tube overdrive and a nux masamune compressor/booster as well. I also have a 10 band eq and a bbe on the other side of the signal chain. I have to say with both the mooer signal chain and the pod hx signal chain, I have created one hell of a heavy guitar sound. So the ampero def. has big shoes to fill. But i'm very confident it'll get the job done!
How do you rate the reverbs.. any of the exotic, shimmering type ... The whole range? And how about harmonizing and pitch effects. Thanks, great review
Thanks for the kind words. The pitch effects are good. They just need to be dialed in appropriately. The reverbs are pretty sweet, especially when combined with the delay, which are based on the Binary EKO pedal.
I see, thanks a lot for the info. Now my dilemma is a trilemma... between Mooer GE200, Boss GT-1+outboard IR AND now this Ampero. Too much cool budget hardware around.

I can't remember exactly where I made the adjustment for this, but if I remember correctly, you need to setup a filter effect and then assign the expression pedal to that filter.
Can you change the routing to the outputs like splitting blocks in the helix? Example. Use a cab and ir to the balanced output but I want no ir going to the unbalanced output so I can send that to a live cab. Can that be done?
Yes you could do this , but the difference in your cab on stage may differ Dynamics wise with the cab Sim your using to Front of House , therefore causing unnecessary effort to track the tone from stage cab and what your being fed from FOH.
Great tutorial. Much appreciated. Question: Can you assign one universal effect to the CTRL foot switch? That is, say, in whatever bank or patch you are in, when you step on CTRL, you get the same effect everytime added to the patch - be it a reverb, phaser, boost, delay, etc. Any idea?.
Toney Davis thanks for your question. We haven’t used the Mooer yet so I couldn’t give you any feedback on that board. But between the Cerberus and the Ampero I would probably spend up and go for the Ampero.
Hi There. Thanks for your question. That's a tough one to answer as they both have a great feature set. What I will say is that the Gigboard does offer a much easier editing platform than the Ampero. And I will say that the Ampero has a lot more effects/amps/cabinets than the Gigboard. Hope that helps.
Thanks for your question. It's been awhile since we shot that video, so I'm not 100% sure what the acutall setup was. The bridge pickup on that guitar is a pretty high gain.
Thanks for the question. Um, no never said that in the video. The amp module has it's own controls and that would vary model by model. So there should certainly be some EQ there. The EQ module on the Ampero should be used to shape the entire sound of the rig. Hope that helps.

I think they missed this bit of information in the manual. If I reset the unit the preload user still is loaded ??????. This is the only place this bit of information is printed. The difference between user and factory . Maybe a F / U slots would be Bank A set of 3 patches is called a “bank”. Ampero has a total of 66 banks, including 33 editable player (user) banks and 33 factory banks (F01- F33), which can be adjusted by not saved. other that nada.. I pulled my hair out for a couple days..... I think if I would have connected to the USB editor I would have figured this out faster. Noticed in his video the patch title is BLANK. It should be sold with blank users slots...I think
I had a HElix for 2 years and I sold it, the helix is great but it was just a bit to much for this couch potato guitarist . The Ampero sounds great but we need to remember, if you don't set up your own patches for your amp /speaker configuration, other writers patches will not sound as advertised unless you have the same equipment the as the writer of the patch. They all need to be tweaked. This was the same with the Helix.

What sounds terrible is very subjective. I turned the cab block off for some dirty tones and just tweaked the eq, sounds great to me.

Trying to make a decision. Cerberus? Moore GE200? Ampero? Which is better going to a tube amp. Any other suggestions? Any of these better than pedals?
