It's a beautiful car, It's a fast car, but anything over 50k for this is just nope. Too much competition from more "reputable" car companies in the price range they are seeking for this car. People who can afford a car like this are likely gonna choose a Porsche, BMW, Tesla, etc.
might consider at $45k out the door. Otherwise I'd be just as happy with a (fun, but slower) GTI. Other part is look at the interior difference between a new model3 and this Hyundai with its school bus interior. Sad to say, but anything above $50,000 looks matter more
Sales guy let me take this for a spin and I’ve never had that much fun in any car ever. The simulated dct is a lot better than I thought and the fake exhaust sounds much better in person. Also feels lighter than you would expect it to be
Check out the Car and Hagerty comparison. It destroys cars that costs 3 4 times more. That's a huge deal. Also, no Ioniq 5 n is available for sale anywhere in the US. They are just taking orders. Let me know which dealer has one just sitting at a lot 😅
I have the ioniq SE. Im looking at one if i have the ability to afford the stinkin thing because my wallet would be perpetually on fire from buying something like it
@@artysgarage Its cool but it is top speed limitted only to 166MPH only 8 mph faster then a Kona N or Elantra N but I bet its a rush getting up to that speed.
It’s a very cool car. I’d rather have one of these than a Tesla Model Y. But there’s about 20 cars I’d rather have than the I5N and none of them are EV’s.
@@cindysue5474In fairness even for recreational track driving top speed isn’t that important. It’s a very rare situation where you can push the upper limits of a car’s speed without risking jail time and putting both yours and other driver’s safety at significant risk. Acceleration, grip, and steering feel contribute so much more to your day to day driving experience.
If you take the brand emblem out of the equation and the propulsion method, which will polarize people and just consider the intention and capabilities, it is a very good deal. Only the ones that mod and race cars would understand. The money is not on luxuries and amenities. There is a difference between price and value. Low price doesn’t mean good value and viceversa
I get your point and on paper this thing performance wise is worth every penny of 70k when compared to other vehicles. But with consumer luxury goods brand is important to a lot of people. The buyers ready to drop 70k plus don’t want their car to say Hyundai. Same reason the latest gen NSX sales weren’t good. For the money people wanted it to be German or Italian. They wanted it to feel more rare and special (even though the NSX is in fact pretty rare and special)… the branding of Acura just doesn’t feel that way. In addition a car like this is very obviously targeting “car people” and most car people don’t want EV’s. The visceral feel of a combustion engine switching gears elicits emotions that an EV just doesn’t do. A sports car is about so much more than just pure performance. They did quite an admirable job of mimicking the combustion engine noises and driving dynamics as well in this car but it’s not the same. 3rd point is that this just feels like a very youthful vehicle. Something that would appeal to the under 30 crowd. Not too many people in that age group can afford 70k period. I think the target demographic are the type of people looking at 25-30k Golf GTI’s and those people aren’t ready to 2-3x their budget and possibly aren’t even considering an EV. Overall I’ve heard a ton of people sing this car’s praises and describe it as being very cool and a technical feat. However I haven’t met anyone that actually wants to buy one. There’s a big leap from thinking something is cool and dropping 70k of your hard earned money on said thing. This car just feels like it’s in no man’s land from a market perspective. .
@@tomw485 I get it and agree most people will see it the way you described, but and I see it differently. I did bought one and own, modify (by my self) and race ICE cars. For me all are different . I got 2 EV and 3 ICE none equal in feeling and driving dynamics and Im definitely more than 30’s 😆
They want people to get into these type of cars, but make them almost unattainable. The features are enticing, but the price is insane we appreciate Hyundai for going outside. The box did the fake engine noises perfect and the way it behaves like a real transmission development but not a lot of these will fly off the lot at 70 grand maybe even some dealer mark up on top
If trump is elected, gas will be around $1 again, & it will cost more to charge ev cars vs just fill up at gas stations, & everyone will be buying large suvs again, these will not sell & software will get outdated & become a paperweight, my prediction

Maybe 50K max if I was looking for an EV that wasn’t a Tesla. No way would I pay 70K for a Hyundai.
Hey, Teslam ~~
Wake up!!!!!😂
I got a cheaper model of the same car. SE edition is about 50k after taxes

I see quite a few on the road out here in CA. It’s a nice looking car.

Van Nuys has Two and I saw the reviews and the numbers and how it performs in track but the price tag is high for a Hyundai
It’s a bad azz electric car I’m taking it over a Tesla , it’s not just a regular Hyundai..

I cant afford one at 70k. If it was 50k id get one .
Who hates I5N? Why would anyone hate it? 😂
It has more Fans then Haters but they are out there I hear them talking 😂
