For context we also went roundthe track in a V10 Audi R8, Cayman GTS, Taycan Turbo S and some other spicey things but nothing quite did what this dide (although the others were great too)

Imagine an N version wrapped to NOT have stripes and baby blue paint. Just a nice gloss red or metallic Yamaha R1 blue.... A total stealth weapon!! Hunting and eating RS TT's, R8's and RS3's.... All those "I own the road, Audi drivers!".... Almost worth the money

Some 25+ years ago, I went to Millbrook as they had a lease car day. What a place that is. But I did that hill route and it's... It's... Bloody fun. A lot of blind crests. Ups and downs. And the also had pro drivers there too that would take us on the bowl and there's a smaller wriggly track where a pro took me in on of the original Honda NSX's. He really pushed that car. Next thing after that, he turned and said, _"You got time to go around the bowl a few times? See how fast se can go?"_ _"FCUK YES!"_ Lane 5 of the bowl that day was for the pros only. 170 mph 8-))... The drive home was a tad dull, to say the least. But this Ioniq 5N is mental. Over 600 hp from a family hatch!? *_BONKERS!_* I remember when the Astra GTE came out with 150 BHP to the front wheels only. Some _"car reviewers"_ back then were saying that 150 BHP was too much. _How wrong were they!?_ ;-))...

I can see it converting quite a few petrolheads to be honest. It seems like the best of both worlds for the enthusiast driver. I guess many will poo poo it without giving it a chance but the rest will be in for a shock.
Gutted I didn’t pre book a drive in this on the day - it’s the only EV I have genuine interest in too 😢 That hill route is a blast though, I feel for your mate in the passenger seat 😂

Coulda been tempted to lease it, but it's obviously a pricey one, given specs and newness. I'll take your advice and shop the deal, rather than the car. Patience can pay off. especially these days.
It happened when I took the V10 Audi R8 spider round there too, someone in a Fiat 500e doing about 20. Frustrating as time is very limited with the top end cars.

Much better in my opinion. The Taycan has a tendency to spin the wheels under harsh acceleration whereas this with its fake manual gears gives you way more control
Recently seen a Hagerty video were this Hyundai hammers a Lambo, Macan GTS, Jag, Maseratti and other exotic twice as expensive cars. Sadly Hyundai, need to sort their luxury interior quality. Then it will be a true super car alternative.
Well, Ioniq5N is NOT a super car. It's an all-around car. No need to have a fancy interior. Nothing wrong with the way it is. It actually suits the car.

I’m exactly the same mate, never really been car sick but the elevation changes on that hill route are pretty harsh. I hate being a passenger for the same reasons.
The interior thing is probably just me. If I'm paying £70,000 for a car I want something that looks special. I guess it just the motorcyclist in me that finds an M5 kind of "only OK" . Maybe a GV70 that has a bit of go + looks top class is more my bag. And the Golf GTi in me was reduced when I thought my Mum's golf was plastic and crap in the 1980's... Having said that Mercedes are currently doing a brilliant job of plastic and crap in 2024!!. Still no stripes... silent "N" car... does kind of sound fun!
Yeah I get you but this is a performance car through and through and for a performance car the interior is absolutely everything you want (and a bit more I’d say).

They had a metallic orange there and there are quite a few colour options - I love that satin baby blue on it, I think it looks good in white too

I did the bowl in a v10 Audi R8 Spider the other day, that’s was pretty fun. Milbrook is pretty great.

From other 5N videos - you can do up to 4 laps of Nurburgring before needing charge on sprint mode (not even endurance).

Why drive in manual mode? It doesn’t give it the best performance
It was great fun on track. This was about having fun in a busy track, not setting lap records.
Why are the roads in such bad condition?
Lack of maintenance maybe. Actually, it is a test facility so maybe they want roads that actually represent UK roads.
