- your farmers were stuck because they were trying to move to the same spot while watering or growing grain (need one free tile next to farm tile), you can get around this by using checker pattern for farm tiles or by updating game to newest version (where it should be fixed), also removing then re-adding the bots to the farm (from farm menu) should unstuck the bots
- you don't bring up your pick by trying to mine the terrain, that's just quality of life improvement, you bring it up by using the shortcut key "V"
- I just build floors to build docks and other machines on instead of flattening the planetoids (or I completely mine it out, not leaving a single piece of dirt behind)
- when automatic catchers are set to ice they will catch asteroid containing Ice but they often contain other ores as well, ice+iron, ice+carbon, etc.

Enjoyed the moment when you took over the wheel of autopilot and testing the ability of light speed travels then you completely flew off the platform like you weren't wearing seatbelt. 🤣 I was thinking maybe handrails around it just in case it happen again.

So, I see an easy but somewhat resource intensive solution to the awkward shape of the terrain of your second planetoid, just build small platforms wherever you're intending to place your machines and conveyors and such. It'd take less time than terraforming would, and considering the amount of iron you get I'd say it's also a good way to manage resource overflow. Mind you, this is just what I would do if I wanted to setup shop quickly, because normally I would flatten everything on whatever planetoid I come across, use excess dirt to create a flat ring along the edges of said planetoid(s), and then setup my docking thing and my machinery along that outer ring, but that's mostly because (in video games, not real life) I love altering pre existing terrain to suit whatever fancies me, and admittedly I might also be a bit of a glutton for punishment 😂

so in the build menu there is a logic section the green with a circle is a stop gate type thing place in front of the output modified with what you want out and only that can come out. warning if you have 2 belts feeding out items you want to go out the logic blocked can go out the other side

Hey Grill,
Make sure you are playing the full "early access " version of the game in Steam. It is a separate store page and installation than the BETA. The beta is discontinued and only the early access version has the latest features.

Support, i got quartz from a green planetoid with grass and trees, it had really dark dirt looking spots that turned out to be quartz, i think there is some on any planetoid

just push V for your pick axe U to upgrade to next tier also you need to update your game files so that your auto catchers have the new feature to select what to catch

Only issue with using + & - it can kill your save game.... it has killed my save game file....
