small tip: it's better to not recycle everything (you loose lots of mats). You can re-use almost all items (buildings & belts for sure). When you try to build something, there is a small icon on your cursor showing if the build will use materials or it will use an existing deleted building. Only recycle what you don't need anymore

I actually stopped using the recycler almost entirely in my next playthough during the holidays - Most times when I remove something, it's just to relocate it anyway. So you're right, you're probably better off NOT recycling unless you really really really need those specific materials NOW.

you can modify the ration to split items on the splitter so every device gets his resource's
