      Motortrend tested it and obtained 0-60mph in only 5.9 secs. Not sure I would pay that much for it. I would buy a Veloster N or Type R, and save the money or use the money to tune it, and buy various other aftermarket parts to make it even faster. Not sure either one needs better handling enhancements. Especially in the Type R's case.

      65k for a subie? You can buy a 911 or Cayman GTS for that price. No way. Better off buying a used golf R for 27k and putting 5k in it. It will smoke the STI.

    I'm happy that you did, but I am SHOCKED that they let you test drive this thing! The dealership that I work at is very picky about who can test drive a regular STI, let alone this one. This one is sitting in our showroom. Also - c'mon, Subaru - gold wheels with white paint only? Gold/blue is the classic setup!

  • @SoulSeeker20
    @SoulSeeker20 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Great video, but it's definitely too much for what's essentially a more refined STI. I mean 15K , plus whatever the dealer is gonna tack onto it, is absolutely absurd, over what you're gonna get in the base STI trim. I commend anybody that can buy it at this premium price as I am no means bashing the car (it's a sight to see). But i'd much rather sink a WRX (at 31K) with 10K worth of mods (at best) and get plentiful more power, and still have money leftover for whatever maintenance,etc, it will need for the period of time I'll own it.
    But excellent/well informed review. The car looks like a beast, and I'm sure it will look great as a collectors item in anybody's garage.

      60 grand is suggested retail. Actually they are selling it over $100k; Most dealers want $50k on top of the $65k and they are getting it. They already sold out. The car rides like a jet plane. Taking corners that regular Sti would spin out. Tunning companies probably buying these to copy the parts and sell to average Joes. That was the whole idea. Dunlop made this tire specifically for this car. I don't think it is for 800 tires. They are looking to sell it to the whole subaru aftermarket.
