The massive scale of fortification that was done along the Atlantic wall is mind boggling, and they still managed to fortify many many inland locations as well as the city of Berlin. It truly is incredible. Now a days it takes longer to build an overpass on a highway then most of these fortifications took.

In most occupied countries they were build by locals, paid by the local government, which was to be re-embursed by the Germans, which obviously never happened as they lost the war. That is why each of these country now has these concrete blocks laying around, paid by themselves !

I am so sick of trying to watch interesting footage with wobbly camera footage and loud soundtracks only making me leave the video before it starts. Thank you for the great work! I really love how the bunker in this video is a half of a hexagonal shape instead of a full structure or something. It's so fascinating to see the land defenses or structures or even the tactics if possible of battles in history passed. I'm very appreciative of you and your family dedication to sharing your finds and knowledge, keep up the good work!

Wow so awesome, I just discovered your channel and your finds in Europe are truly a treat for me as I am an American living in the US. We have artifacts from battles that were fought here but nothing like what you show from WW2 obviously. Your narration is awesome and that along with the camerawork you have really communicates the gravity of the human struggle that took place at all the sites you visit. Thank you thank you!!

Like you, I am pleased to see when abandoned structures do not have graffiti or vandalism. Watching the 'explorers' here in N.A. or Britain, you always see the damage. Be it in tunnels, abandoned prisons, asylums, factories, churches, hotels, houses, etc.

Outstanding! For those of us who have not yet or cannot visit the outstanding historical sites around the world it's fellow historians such as you who bring those places into our homes that educate us as to what we seek! Today's generation don't understand just how great and important these videos are! Your and my parents and family before never had the best information source as the internet today. Having a color tv and daily newspaper is all they had. The negative posters have their life goal to be negative and nasty. Every page has them. Had to chuckle at your comment that you were passing through the area and had three to three and a half hours to spare to go look for the site. No, I've never done anything like that on trips throughout my life where I look for historical military sites or battlefields along the way that I could detour too in order to visit. 😏 Have done many a detour to do that especially when I was in the Army and travelling to a new duty station or to go to some school/training and was travelling in my car here in the United States. That site was great and was so good to see it not vandalized. Thanks for making the trio there as you were in the area.

WW2HistoryHunter without Hitler and his followers, there would not have been a Russian front and Germany may well have won a war the generals did not want.

No need to build walls or dig trenches when natural features can be used. That bunker was very well positioned! Thanks for another informative video!
