FILM DESCRIPTION:
Walter Meyer (Danny Glover) is a retired mechanic who lost the love of his life one year earlier. Now that the holiday season is here, he invites daughters Rachel (Gabrielle Union) and Cheryl (Kimberly Elise) and sons Christian (Romany Malco) and Evan (Jessie T. Usher) to his house for a traditional celebration. Poor Walter soon realizes that if his bickering children and the rest of the family can spend five days together under the same roof, it will truly be a Christmas miracle.

I LOVE this movie! I passed on it a few times as it showed on HBO because I figured it was more geared toward African Americans, but gave it a watch one time and realized that the spirit in this movie is about family--EVERYONE'S family. For me this movie is a new classic.

I'm watching this movie in. 2020. On. Thanksgiving day. I bought this one!! Love this scene. It reminds me of my own family. We lost a precious lady. My mother at Christmas and our daddy at Thanksgiving. I have danced with my neices. Great neices. Nephews. Brothers. Just like this. This is so common & part of us LOL. You can almost guarantee at a gathering you'll hear something to the effect of "show us those new dances y'all be doing" (as IF they don't have a clue KNOWING they're familiar on some level LOL) then will come the older generations with "let me show you how we use to do" LOL. LOVE it.
