I didn’t get the urge from Ginny and Georgia though. They handled it very well, and I’m glad that they pointed out how serious of a problem it can be and that they showed her go to therapy for it.
Thank you for this video and mentioning that you do not think that Ginny is an ungrateful brat. I, seriously, feel like people are so easy to judge a character but refuse to see the layers in that character. On top of having a limited perception to Georgia's past she is also just a teenager who has experienced things in her childhood, too. And navigating life as a young and still developing human-being isn't easy. Especially, if you have trauma. Her father and mother are separated etc. Yes, Georgia is a good mother in the way in which she tries to protect her children and would (literally) do anything for them. But from what I have seen, she also tends to overdo it sometimes. And I think that sets her apart from Lorelai (while yes, both are consequent), Lorelai appears to be more mature than Georgia. But then again, their past is vastly different. Georgia has endured on top of her teenage pregnancy, abuse. Back to Ginny: Yeah, I wish more people would take into consideration that she is probably also going through some things ... stress, friendship drama, trying to develop an okayish relationship with yourself etc. and of course that she cannot look into Georgia's brain to see what she has gone through.
My problem with Ginny that can honestly be brushed off as “she’s young so she’s not mature enough yet” is that she wants to be understood right like that’s a main driving plot point to the second season, but she never puts in effort to understand those around her. Like for example, Marcus is having a hard time and she automatically assumes it’s because of her. She’s just really self centered imo. I’m not saying she can’t grow out of it but it just bugged me that with a little communication a lot of the problems in her life could be resolved really easily.

Hi there. Thank you for putting out such great, thought provoking content. As far as money being the key to happiness.... I think it's a prerequisite to happiness in a lot of ways. Not crazy money, but enough to be comfortable and not stressed. It brings options, which quite often brings happiness. True there are people with mental health issues, and I am one of those, and I know the struggle... but the struggle without options is a whole lot worse. It's so quippy and easy to say that "money doesn't buy/bring happiness," and my naive self thought as much when I was younger. But in terms of Lorelai, the wealth she was raised in as a child gave her maaany options. Even down to simple things such as dental or health care, if we really think about it. Or just her simple access to healthy food, good education, and connections to any number of other things (art, literature, concerts, fashion, etc). I don't agree that this is some slight against her (having had wealth and abandoning it or whatever) or that she HAD to be happy because of her family's wealth, but let's not pretend it didn't give her a leg up (and the ability to know herself, have experienced the world, etc). Or the opportunity for one. Personally I don't have anything against her character at all, aside from the super unhealthy eating habits (just jealousy on my part lol). That's my sleepy ramble on poverty and Lorelai, I guess.
I was responding to alot of the comments I get where people essentially argue that bc she had money she should have been able to tolerate abuse which is where I diagree. But yes, I also agree it gave her a leg up in some instances, her termite problem, rory’s tuition, etc and just the basic upper class privilege.
@@kierralovestv That makes a lot of sense. I was so exhausted when I wrote that, and probably shouldn't have lol. Thank you for responding with grace, as always. But yeah, no one should put up with abuse no matter what. However, I do think having rich parents was always in her back pocket. Like if something terrible had happened, she could have turned to them. She was just lucky that nothing did until she needed to pay for Rory's tuition. Not that that was "terrible," but you get what I'm saying. I just hate how that phrase has been hardwired into our brains. It feels like some great lie we all agreed to swallow. Money does buy happiness, or rather, it erases hardships that allow you to find happiness more easily than if you were dirt poor. Mental illness is a seperate struggle and ignores wealth. Anyway, thank you for being so lovely.
I just wanted to mention this because you brought up Robin Williams at the end, his wife made a documentary about Lewy Body Dementia because they found after his death he was suffering from Lewy Body Dementia. It's something not a lot of people know and it's a very emotional watch.
I love Gilmore girls, but have never watch Ginny and Georgia but I loved how you went over Lorelai and Georgia’s past individually, and talked about the fights that occurred in both shows! Great video! ❤❤
I love Lorelei but I think the reason some people don’t is because she is put on a pedestal by people around her whereas Georgia is ostracized so we see her as more of the underdog
I love Ginny and Georgia. And GG. Georgia and Lorelai had very different lives. Both suffered and went through alot. Lorelai sheltered Rory alot longer than Georgia sheltered Ginny. Georgia had herself to rely on. Lorelai had the town and Luke for support. I could see these characters being friends sharing stories.
I love Lorelai and Georgia. I think georgia is a more realistic persona. Like she is more complicated. The show makes it clear she is often not right although her motives are often from fear and love which are very real feelings and motives.

Yes of course. I think that the phrase lacks context and that it creates a much bigger and deeper conversation about what money means to people
I just wanted to mention this because you brought up Robin Williams at the end, his wife made a documentary about Lewy Body Dementia because they found after his death he was suffering from Lewy Body Dementia. It's something not a lot of people know and it's a very emotional watch.
Oh god. I loved watching Robin Williams on screen growing up
I love how she spent a full minute talking about kibble.
great video ❤
I love Gilmore girls, but have never watch Ginny and Georgia but I loved how you went over Lorelai and Georgia’s past individually, and talked about the fights that occurred in both shows! Great video! ❤❤
Tyy
I love Lorelei but I think the reason some people don’t is because she is put on a pedestal by people around her whereas Georgia is ostracized so we see her as more of the underdog
... alright, you've convinced me to get into this show!
wait I never noticed how similar the shows r whattttt
Keep up the content 👏
I love Ginny and Georgia. And GG. Georgia and Lorelai had very different lives. Both suffered and went through alot. Lorelai sheltered Rory alot longer than Georgia sheltered Ginny. Georgia had herself to rely on. Lorelai had the town and Luke for support. I could see these characters being friends sharing stories.
I love Lorelai and Georgia. I think georgia is a more realistic persona. Like she is more complicated. The show makes it clear she is often not right although her motives are often from fear and love which are very real feelings and motives.
Yes!
Where have I been? How am I just seeing this? Oh, I know why, I've been too caught up with the mess that is Love is Blind 😂. Would you likely do any trashy reality show reviews? I'd love to hear your thoughts on some of them.
I’ve been watching a ton of Baddies West and BGC I’m more on that side of reality tv lmao I thought about it but it kinda goes against my whole “don’t say negative things online about real people” rule so I don’t think I will but I’ve been binging those lately
@@kierralovestv Oh cool, I haven't watched Bad Girls Club in a while...not since the good old days of 🎵" I didn't get no sleep cause of y'all!"🎵 😂
I understand re the "not commenting on real people rule", it's a reasonable line to draw. Sometimes I listen to come commentary and cringe because of how harsh it is and I wonder how it'll affect the cast members hearing it all
I agree. I don’t want to use this space to hurt real people but I’ll trash a character in a heartbeat 😂
i loved this. i made a video abt the similarities and differences also and i would love to hear ur opinion!
I watched it, I liked it and left a comment 🤍
I'm specifically mad at Ginny and Georgia S2 E9. Had so much potential for suspense, emotion and real heart and it just sucked! Some of the worst writing on Netflix all in one episode.
