You have to be so watchful when children are at the pool. When my son was almost 2, my daughter and I were at a baby pool. I looked away and suddenly, my daughter screamed that her brother was under the water! I pulled him out and he was o.k. I made sure that he took swimming lessons as soon as he could, but I never took my eyes off of either of my children in the pool after that.
In the mean time us in Texas living this triple digits like every summer😂.

I don't feel bad for these people. Why continue to build in a storm surge area? Texas is a massive state and yet they choose to build their homes where this happens literally every year. Then they cry because insurance won't cover their homes. It's a waste of money. It's like they're complaining and want help. The help is don't build your home in a flood/storm surge area even on stilts. This is just the beginning. Texas to Florida people live on the coast and cry every year when this happens.
While I can understand this view, I don't think it's that simple. A lot of times there are other factors like: developers who will build wherever they can regardless of consequences, people who buy those homes without knowing any better, people who rent these properties without knowing better, etc. Also keep in mind that our climate is shifting and places that didn't use to be problematic are now. We live in WA state and have been struggling with all our beautiful vegetation burning up every year because of the lack of rain. Bottom line: we need to fix our climate issues or this stuff is only going to get worse!
