@RiverCertified Nice, you just listed one of the 10 commandments and a very important one at that ❤ Love your vids man .... New Zealand doesn't really have any BIG fish in our rivers ... Some Rainbow Trout that live in the hydro dam rivers that can reach 30 lb which is huge for a Trout but nothing like what you've been catching 😯😯 .... oh and Koi Carp that can go over 30 lb but other than that bloody big slimy Eels 😖 .... Jeremy Wade did a River Monsters episode here in NZ on the Huge Eels ... They could go over 200 lb .... The native Maori people here used to have a so called "mythical" river monster here called a Taniwha that was meant to have been able to eat a man... The biggest Eel I've seen would have been 6 to 7 feet long and probably 9 or 10 inches thick as spear my mate put through it was 8 inches long and didn't come out the other side ... bahahaha he's standing in the creek up to his thighs with this dinosaur of an Eel just humping out of the water, screaming "help me" 😳 I'm like "um yeah nah mate" ...The beast just gave a little wriggle and flicked my mate who was 11 at the time into the water 🤣
I really enjoyed how respectful you guys were of Paul. The fishing footage was amazing, but what stood out most to me is that y'all seem to be a couple of genuinely good guys.

100%. Those episodes were painful to watch. But I feel like he booked a trip without really realizing what was involved. I feel like he should have contacted that guy who chases the Wels in a tube with the whopper plopper. But since he went on the trip, he had to video it.

Ya know I grew up dreaming about peacock bass and araprima first watching Virgil ward and then a few years later Jimmy Houston And Roland Martin tossing Zara spooks slaughtering the peacock bass … I can say I’ve been too Florida and have caught a bunch of peacocks and other exotics but I still wanna wrestle the Amazon monster ! I was stationed for 3 years in the Republic of Panama. I went on numerous fishing trips in the canal, fishing for Peacock Bass on Lake Gatun in Arenosa, Panama. Man can they fight! First time I caught a fish on an artificial lure (Smithwick devil horse prop bait) Went out at O-dark 30 came back at sundown. We had a guide that used a 13-foot john boat. Scariest time was when we hit the wake of a Cruise ship, I mean one of those carnival type ships. I almost had to lay on my back just to see the top of the ship. best fishing of my life up to and since then.

I worked on a island in the yucatan years ago. The fishing guides usually Myan, and put people on fish that leave memories and bragging rights.
