how would you compare this to your KTM, lighter, easier to use, better suspension, off road capability, you have proper handled that machine in some tricky conditions, would love to hear a review on this machine from you, besides MADtv, I have not really seen anyone do this style of riding off road.
The 890R is certainly a different bike, better suspension and more than twice the power. The 450mt is a very easy and rewarding bike to ride and is and feels light than the 890, the forks seem pretty good but the rear shock is a little off, however the bike is capable of doing any greens lanes in the UK in stock form that the 890R can handle. If theres a Baja event at Sweetlamb next year, I will take the 890 as the 450 obviously looses time on acceleration against the bigger bikes. Horses for courses I suppose, 890R is a blast but the 450MT is also rewarding to ride and won't get you into trouble as easily.
@@waynedunn5996 Really helpful, thanks very much for that. It gives me a foundation to work from as I’m going to have the tyres changed before delivery. I was wondering if you found the bars to be a bit high - they seem to be that new fashion for comfortable bolt upright standing position instead of an enduro crouch which I learned at Sweetlamb ?
Can't wait to get mine here in the States in a few months. Thanks!
What a ride. Well done. I was there watching and cheering the guys and gals on. It were a bit damp! Will come and say hi if you’re at Baja 25.

Nice going. Ive an order in for one so it’s good to see it in action on British off road. What Tyres ?
Michelin Enduro 6days extreme front with tube and Mitas XT+ on the rear.
@@waynedunn5996 Thanks for the reply. Do you use that combo on the road as well ? I see the front isn’t strictly legal.
@nockianlifter661 For general use on and offroad I run Continental TKC80 front and Mitas Enduro trail+ (E07+) on the rear.

The bar position seems pretty good, I'm 5'10"" and also ride a 350excf and KTM 890 Adv R.
