Netanyahu is truly a visionary leader. The only head of government who is on trial both within and outside Israel.
because of course Iran or any other Islamic country in the world has a very neutral justice system in which criminal politicians in power can be put on trial.
also, ICC is a joke. a pathetic institution with no real power whatsoever but it's used by criminals as a proxy to somehow get moral grandstanding.

The decision to to announce warrants for both Israeli and Hamas leaders simultaneously was probably the best possible approach to handling this situation. It does a good job of calling out all responsible parties for the suffering in Gaza while framing this outside of a political perspective.

Outrageous is the stupidity of thinking this is equating Netanyahu to Hamas. Two things can happen at the same time, it doesn't mean they are equivalent.
Except you can equate.
Netanyahu gave money to Hamas in 2008 for the sake of helping his political party gaining a majority in the Knesset. He thought they would not undermine him, but boy that bite his ass hard.
Both Netanyahu and Hamas intend to genocide each other so they are, in fact, equivalent.

Anyone who claims either side has a moral high ground here is either blind, lying to themselves, or lying to you.
@@whathell6t That's bullshit, you are spreading far-right Israeli propoganda. They tell the story that way because they wanted Netanyahu to be far harsher on the Palestinians in Gaza than he historically has been - even though the rest of the world already thinks all of his actions against them have been too harsh.
Qatar was trying to send aid money into the Gaza Strip, which necessarily meant the money would go to Hamas as they were the elected government in the Strip since Israel's pullout in 2006. The area at the time was on the brink of a humanitarian disaster - was he supposed to reject the passage of aid money and just enforce starvation? That's what the far-right zionists wanted; starve the Palestinians and they can't fight against us.
Would Netanyahu have done it if he could go back in time and know that much of the aid money would just be misappropriated by Hamas and used for military purposes instead, even though he'd be directly starving Palestinians to death? Probably he would have.
That doesn't mean he was personally funelling money to Hamas for selfish political gain, you're insane and gullible.
It is a call for all leaders to prioritize people and peace. It's a condemnation of wars that start with attacks on innocent civilians.
The ICC intervention aims to hold accountable those who commit crimes against humanity, regardless of their country's political system.
Europe, having borne the brunt of devastating wars, understands the importance of preventing future conflicts. Their decision not to blindly follow suit reflects a commitment to upholding the law.
Innocent lives are lost due to poorly planned interventions. Retaliation shouldn't come at the cost of innocent lives. There are better ways to hold leaders accountable without resorting to violence.

It's vital both sides of this conflict are brought to justice, going after only one side will only lead to more division and conflict
Both sides are complaining that "hey youre equating us to them?!"

"Oh but he started it", "you hit me harder than I did", jesus christ are you children?
I dont think that comparing being a victim of genocide vs retaliating against genocide is the same as children bickering, and it's pretty callous of you to compare the two things. Objectively speaking, Israel (taking over from Britain) settled that land - what can anyone expect of the Palestinians but armed resistance?
As a mathematician, i would like to bring up the math term would be equivalence. And that is a broad term, that depends on criteria.
To explain, lets look at some extreme forms of equivalence:
Here is a question: Are...
the Israeli leaders that may be arrested
...equivalent to...
the Hamas leaders that may be arrested
..., or not?
Well:
* They are, because they are all humans. There is something in common.
* They are not, because they belong to different groups. There is a difference.
None of these criteria are very helpful, but they show the folly of cries about whether you are allowed to compare.
So what criteria do matter?
The two groups of leaders are being held equivalent, in the sense of having committed either crimes against humanity, or war crimes.
People whine about it, because they want to be regarded as the better party in the conflict, and they feel insulted to be said to be just as bad as the other.
Boo. hoo.
This is about crimes. Both committed some. This is not a wink to one side that they are secretly in the right in this conflict.
Lets treat them equivalently, tell them this is not about the conflict but about crimes, and use this equivalence to demand that the crimes stop in both parties.
And then sit back and enjoy grown adult geopoliticians whine like little children who cannot understand this stuff, as they play with the lives of millions of citizens in whatever side.
You can just see which commenters/geopoliticians are invested in their own sides' conflict logic, and who are looking at it from a distance.
People being stuck in their own conflict logic is widely on display.

@@channel7zip The region was called Southern Syria before Palestine, and it was Turkish. What gives Palestinians the right to live on the land they stole from Turks? It's rightful territory of Turkey according you your logic.
And no, Jews aren't settlers. I'm not sure where that myth comes from. That region always had a permanent, settled population of Jews. Most of the Jews who did settle there had to because they were forced out of the Arab countries they lived in for generations.
For people refusing to listen to the pertinent parts of the video or refusing to use Google: The ICC has jurisdiction when (1) the crime occurred on the territory of a state that has accepted the ICC's jurisdiction or (2) when the person accused of the crime is a national of a state that has accepted the ICC's jurisdiction. Its jurisdiction exists only with respect to crimes committed after the entry into force of the Rome Statute (that is, when the pertinent state accepted the ICC's jurisdiction). The Rome Statute entered into force on 1 July 2002 in respect to founding members.
- Palestine accepted the ICC's jurisdiction by becoming a member state, and that's why the ICC can prosecute any person (including Israeli nationals) for crimes committed in Palestine and can prosecute Palestinian nationals for crimes committed outside of Palestine (including crimes committed in Israel).
- For the purposes of the Rome Statute, a state is whatever the UN recognizes as a state. The UN General Assembly has accepted Palestine as a "Permanent Observer STATE" (same status currently held by the Vatican and same status that Switzerland had before 2002), so the Palestinian acceptance of the ICC's jurisdiction is legally valid regardless of what Israel or the US (which aren't even parties to the Rome Statute) think about Palestine's statehood.
- Putin is being prosecuted for crimes which occurred on the territory of Ukraine, a state which has accepted the ICC's jurisdiction for crimes committed on its territory from 2013 onwards. it doesn't matter that Russia didn't sign the Rome Statute, because the ICC prosecutes people (like Vladimir Putin), not states (like the Russian Federation).
- The US, Syria, China, Iraq and Afghanistan, among others, haven't accepted the ICC's jurisdiction, so the ICC can't prosecute: (1) Americans for crimes committed in Iraq and Afghanistan; (2) Bashar Al-Assad for crimes committed in Syria; (3) Chinese officials for crimes committed in China.
- No crimes committed before 2002 could ever be prosecuted by the ICC, regardless of where of by whom they were committed.

But Israel and Palestine we gotta issue these warrants asap !!
This has also been going on for years. Since 2014. Arrest warrents have only been released after 10 years of investigation.
Warrants are not the same as cases. The court can only try a person if they're physically in the Hague, thats why a lot of cases with issued arrests warrants have no developments as the defendant is probably in hiding or in a State not party of the Rome Statute. If the warrants are approved that's the likeliest scenario for the cases against these five individuals
more severe the case is more likely it is that it will get hearing
@@nadamvs it’s interesting that the icc doesn’t go after Chinese leaders for 3 million Uighur people dead - or Iran and Saudi Arabia for 800k dead in Yemen or Iran for killing hundreds of thousands in Iraq Syria etc
If it was really a case of severity then they’d go after way worse crimes
It’s holding Israel the only Jewish majority country to a standard than much bigger crimes against humanity
And it ignores that many military experts admit that the combatant to civilian ratio death in this conflict is normal as compared to falluajh or Mosul
I mean these cases will in all likelihood never see the light of court, but the issuing of warrants (yet to be determined) is basically enough here- he's gone with a high standard of selection (most likely to convict) so if they ever did appear in court they'd probably all end up being found guilty

I lost respect for ICC when they failed to convict some African Leaders who had done atrocities in Kenya.
Why did the ICC not convince them
@@machovalkarie7896 because it is filled of people with alterior motives. Africa isn't beneficial to them atm, but being involved in israel/palestine is and likely will progress their careers.
@@Ngthan123 This is how I feel about all international organizations, especially the UN. It's all filled with people with alterior motives and private interests.
what about bush, clinton, obama, literally every western leader that supported israel and the terrorist thugs in africa?
1. housing 2. utilities and 3. taxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly, it seems like most of us feel like the leaders of both sides are behaving in a criminal way. Hearing the response of the two sides to the charges is amusing, though depressing.
ICC? How many divisions it has?
We're not talking about a World War. Yet.
Sadly, many, many people will not understand ^this comment.
Is that Stalin's remark to Pope's condemnation reference?
@@JanBruunAndersen can you explain what you think this comment means?
@@BladeTheWatcherwhy did you say "yet"?
Biden saying there's no equivalence is a bit odd, as he is actually correct, they're different groups being held to account for different reasons, I'm guessing the old codger didn't mean it that way.
There is no pro pal party in US, get over it.
Who gives a damn about ICC!!
What is its relevance!!!
That frown on the left tho 😂
Doesn't this look bad on Qatar too? for harboring haniyeh?
They dont give a shit, oil rules
haniyeh is seen as a hero in most of the world. his a man leading a popular resistant against a brutal occupation.
Do you really think Qatar. Really give a fck. Not surprised if Qatar have a hand in this, they always prioritize money😅
Qatar never looked good anyway
@@crowguy4350 He's not a hero in either India nor China. Combine that with the west and it's mathematically impossible to be seen as a hero in the majority let alone most of the world.
The ICC issued an arrest warrant against the “Queen of England’s” when over “800 child graves” of “native Canadiens” were “dug up” in Canada. Why has this been missed?
Why are you putting quotes over those things like they didn’t happen or weren’t warranted
Because it was never issued. It seems incredibly unlikely that the ICC would issue a warrant for someone who did not order and was unaware of the crime. The ICC has a list of all warrants it has issued and the Queen of England does not appear on it. A Google search for such a warrant shows multiple fact checks describing it as false.
Why not? We should put the queen at the time responsible. They used to dig up the old bones of popes and put them on trial for crimes committed in life. So it's nothing we haven't seen before.
Firstly, its not the Queen of England. She was the Queen of the United Kingdom (like how Joe Biden is the president of the USA, not California) secondly, I just checked on AAP fact checker and this is what is written:
"No valid arrest warrants have been issued against the Queen or Pope as the International Common Law Court of Justice has no legal authority or jurisdiction, international criminal law experts told AAP FactCheck. Arrest warrants and judgments by the so-called court are meaningless. The only court which can investigate and pursue charges for crimes against humanity is the International Criminal Court.
False - The claim is inaccurate."
The ICC was created in 2002 and has no jurisdiction over crimes committed before that date. How did you think the law works?
Furthermore, the ICC prosecutes individuals who committed crimes, so I doubt a powerless figurehead would ever be charged of anything even if the ICC had jurisdiction, when there's no shortage people who are guilty despite not appearing on Canada's money.
Really, what reputation?
Netanyahu needs to be in the dock
So if he is now wanted for being arrested for “genocide” should the leaders of Hamas also be arrested for war crimes? They have killed civilians as well
That's literally what the icc is doing, it's going after both. I am assuming you haven't actually bothered to watch the video and just commented
Are you listening or are you completely braindead? They are literally on the arrest warrant. Please don’t procreate.

This all could’ve been avoided if he just hadn’t allowed October 7th to happen.
LAW IS LAW IT SHOULD BE RESPECTED
No, it should not.
UN is daeead.
There is no universally accepted world law. It only counts for member states
Sadly, international law is tricky because nothing goes above national sovereignty... 🙃
That's why ICC decision is rediculous. A charge based on media headlines
Except for the fact that the ICC is about as toothless as the League of Nations and they're gonna find it hard to enforce any of these warrants without any muscle to speak of.
“Never prosecuted a Western or Western-aligned leader”- I think that statement should be sufficient to prove the historical bias exhibited by the ICC despite Western war crimes in places like Iraq or Vietnam. This event is a mere historical correction. 😄
or Bibi has pissed off the US government too much and they are ramping up the pressure via taking away the weapon deliveries and the ICC charges. Biden said a staunch 'Don't.' regarding entering Rafah but they did anyway.
They tried with Bush for Iraq invasion, the USA response was even worse than now
Those events were usually done by single groups of men and not ordered by the government. This makes it not genocide which is the systematic killing of a group of people.
USA, Vietnam and Iraq didn't sign Rome Statute. Because of that, they can't be charged. So please first make USA sign it and then complain about ICC. They can't do more and if you make USA join, we will applaud you as all world countries should be members.
Yup, a good portion of American presidents and other government agents should have been indicted as well.
The ICC says the ICC has jurisdiction. That what flys as proper logic around here?
this wont change much...
That sank a long time ago
Spoiler: the ICC did not sink Israel's reputation, they sink theirs. When justice is replaced with politics, that's what happened
In a brazen move, the U.S. House of Representatives has passed a law that imposes sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) if it initiates investigations or prosecutes individuals protected by the United States or its allies.
The message is clear: "We are the masters of the world..." We prosecute whomever we want, protect whomever we want, and give the green light to commit crimes to whomever we want.
The West applauded the issuance of an international arrest warrant against Putin, but it was outraged when ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan demanded a similar warrant against Netanyahu and his defense minister. The law passed by the U.S. lawmakers is nothing but an attempt to pressure the ICC to reject Karim Khan's request.
There has been talk for years about the necessity of establishing a new international system, and the Al-Aqsa Flood operation and the subsequent revelations confirmed that the need for new international mechanisms has become an urgent necessity.
Western, and especially American, arrogance has become so blatant that they don't even bother to maintain appearances and play openly. Karim Khan said after his historic request that a Western official contacted him and told him that this court was established for Africa and for thugs like Putin, according to his expression. The new American law of shame is nothing but a public translation of this statement.
Humanity will remain indebted to the Palestinian resistance, which, through its blessed struggle, has exposed this Western world that killed 4 million people worldwide in its wars over the last two decades alone. If we go back to its record since the discovery of the Americas and the genocide of Native Americans, we will face numbers that calculators cannot handle.
It is also certain that China and Russia are looking with much satisfaction at the collapse of the West's image around the world, paving the way for them to impose a new vision and lead the rest of the world, disgruntled with the current state of humanity.
Unsure what a sea mite is, some kind of animal perhaps?
yea karim khan must be very honest
I don't think the ICC will sink the disastrous reputation of Israel.
Already sunk. It can make it a pariah state that it is.
its very worrying how you refrain from saying which accusations are put on whom
you can't sink lower than rock bottom
Remember this, in 2020 the ICC rejected Uyghurs genocide complaint that is happening in Xinjiang, China
Isn't it more complex? China has not signed the Rome Statute and that's why it can't be charged.
No it is not complex, China is pretty much inslaving the Uyghurs and forcing Uighur women into marriages with Chinese men and having those men rape them.
Saying that it’s “complex” is just a cop-out.
Tragic as it is, the ICC doesn't have jurisdiction in China. As explained in this video, It DOES have jurisdiction over Palestine.
@@eyuin5716 All I am saying is that it isn't as simple. People tend to think ICC is an organisation respected by everyone. That's why they think it is unfair not to accuse China of genocide.
But you are free to make it right and force China, India and the US to sign the Rome Statute.
The ICC can't even catch and lock up The Big Bad Wolf, he has been blowing down houses for years lol
Is putin the big bad wolf
I find it funny that that's the best people like you can say. The ICC has never convicted anyone they themselves arrested because they've never had any troops to do so. Not to mention it is kinda funny people hold that against the ICC since the ICC is a court. The judical power (courts, prosecutors,...) are seperate from the executive power (under whom the police falls) in pretty much every nation. Still doesn't change the fact they actually convicted people nobody thought at one point in time would ever stand on trial and doesn't change the fact an independent organization that is charged with judging whether states/individuals are ignoring international treaties told Israel that they've got two war criminals in the government and the Western leaders that they're backing a country that is doing things that are not actually acceptable by international laws despite constantly saying they're all for respecting the international laws.
The prosecutor asked for the warrants, if the warrants are approved the ICC will trust the partners to apprehend the people they seek and if those partners like Great Britain say "No, we will just allow Netanyahu to come into our country and do nothing." then everybody in the world can see that Great Britain don't care about international laws. What makes you think for example South Africa will then apprehend Putin should he come into South Africa ? If the British don't care about Netanyahu because it is somehow to their benefit not to care then what makes you think South Africa would care about Putin or somebody else the West cared about if it were to be in their benefit not to care?
@TLDRNewsGlobal
@ 4:55 - Is that really how British people pronounce "Anit-Semites"!? Or is it just how she does it?
Surprise surprise. They’re all evil

They did that all by themselves
Putin: First time?
Where was the ICC when the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Abiy Ahmed was blockading Tigray leading to half a million deaths?
He's literally under investigation by the ICC. But unlike Israel there's less clear legally viable evidence so it's taking longer. Keep in mind the warrants for Israel are also for actions years ago.
Not in the ICCs jurisdiction boss.
