As a person that hauled oversìzed loads from one end of Canada to the other and New york to Cape Cod people dont realize the complexities of such a undertaking. I comend you on taking on such a endeavor and wish you nothing but success.
As much as that inspection sucked and I can feel y’all’s frustration. It is truly awesome to see yall take your job extremely serious and yall clearly know and care about what you are doing. We all know that there are other companies and trucks that make the industry look horrible. Good job Gentry & Sons…
What a crazy situation you have going on with this boat. Your dad is awesome. The amount of pressure he had on his shoulders to get this boat delivered. Now, let’s roll part 2 Timmy!!
I found your page with your videos of the hurricane and how you stepped up and helped so many. I admire your dedication and seeing your passion especially with your family. I had to subscribe and start watching all your videos. I live in GA I am homebound due to multiple health issues. I am paralyzed in arm and hand from an injury I received after surgery for a closed spina bifida aka Syringomyelia and Arnold Chiari and I am now oxygen and home ventilator dependent. I love to cook but limited to how long I can stay up. I have three grown kids and my dream is to go fishing in the ocean but I have not been on vacation in over 30+ years. But I am trying to come off oxygen so I can do it. I would love to go try foods at restaurants and video it and cook with chefs and show people who are disabled can do everything a normal person can. You can look at me and people assume I am unable to walk but after eight years in a wheelchair I am able to walk after being in a nursing home nearly 20+ years ago. Sorry for rambling but I am happy to watch your channel
I hope you're able to go fishing (besides the " Go Fishing CARD game "). 😂 What part of GA are you in? I'm from Atlanta , then Panthersville, aka as Ellenwood, GA. Dekalb County.
@ hey thank you for reply. I just figured out how to reply I live In Marietta Cobb County if you’re familiar with the big chicken I live about 1.1 miles 3 minutes from there. I think Ellenwood might be near the airport I don’t know but a few people that live here because I don’t get out unless my family takes me.besides family I personally know ten people Have a good day
Boy I got excited for you Tim. I hate those scales and pickle park but when it comes to oversized loads in Connecticut it’s the best parking area with plenty of room. Your dad is a straight up Boss calm cool and collected. You too of course. I appreciate the videos y’all put out. Keep up the good work.
Congrats you guys, I've slowly been inching my way Into this market, I've been wanting todo aircraft transport aswell. Glad yall are safe and having fun with it. Be safe, you need anything here in Florida give me a shout.
As a long time boater I am often asked about trucking a boat across the U.S.. From East Coast to West Coast or reverse. Leaving the Pacific or Atlantic for the other. I tell them unless it is important for time schedule and you do not care about cost, expect ten thousand and up, no upper limit. Some are so tall power lines need to be moved. I am happy for you to show everybody how much fun it is. I will be sharing your videos in the future as the question comes up.
I live on the PA/NJ/NY line right off of Route 84, you’re not kidding about the potholes in NY. They’re better than they were 25 years ago though, my dad used to haul a car carrier up 84 and as a kid I remember the expansion joints were so bad they’d max out the seat suspension every few seconds for 45 minutes straight.
I just started watching y'all and I 100% support y'all. I honestly used to be scared to drive on the highway because of the semi's but now I don't mind to drive on the highways and give the truckers the rm they need and even times I have slowed down to a slower speed to even let a truck over... And last night I also watched the cash days one and man, I love your mustang and it makes me miss mine lol but good race buddy. 🙏🏼🤘🏼
That was a "Level 7" inspection. Not even close to a Level 1. Level 7 is a jurisdictional mandated commercial vehicle inspection as per Connecticut state permit regulation.
That’s a WHOLE lot of TIME on the intercostal in 5 mph zones and keeping up on all the areas that have developed Shoals from lack of dredging yeah, maintenance
Whites crossing on Parks highway had frost heaves form so high that vehicles would bottom out and saw a dozer get bounced off the trailer, snapped the chains, then saw another truck get the front axle snapped the heave's were right in the middle of a curve , worst up there was 1 commercial vehicle inspector, as he would write violations if you had snow covering any light or plate, it is ALASKA in the winter you will have snow on lights/plates within a mile.
Hey Tim, love your trucking content. Always look forward to your next one. Saw you and Rooster pulling a boat on I-95 the other day in SC. Beautiful rig ! I have maybe a little suggestion.... Jeff Barron and his daughter Hannah Barron both have very excellent successful hunting, fishing, cooking, etc. channels in Alabama. Good ole down south hard working country folks like yourself. They both end with "appreciate ya all" instead of "love you" That just sounds better.
Good thing he slowed down going under the bridge. Of course if he did and hit the bridge he might not make it all the way under so maybe we should speed up so you come out on the other side "break on through to the other side, break on through!". Doors song.
If the boats functional, why not hire a captain to move the boat via water. My son has transported 65’ yachts from Boston to Ft Myers Fl and delivered a yacht from Ft Lauderdale to RI. Obviously the owner wanted to avoid land transport.. so I’m guessing this boat isn’t sea worthy ? 🤔 My question was answered when the trooper asked you the same question.
Well, i guess now you know if going to Connecticut make sure everything is tip top they wasn't messing around, but yall got threw it none the less. I can't wait to see the next one where the fun begins. Also, im with you to hell with taking the top off that boat 🚢 for sure if you absolutely had to, then that one thing, but if not, then leave it for sure. Until the next one stay safe out there
OMG, the rental you drove. The Surburban, it looked familiair so was the license plate. So I looked up the photo’s of our visit to the States last year in may. Our rental was a Suburban only the license plate was 201691. 🤣🤣🤣 Greetings from the Netherlands. Big fan of your video’s👍🏻
Transporting that boat to Connecticut from Florida over land was stupid. I could have transported that boat over water in less time and for far less cost. I have moved many boats from one coast to another over water when I was younger. I would charge around $10,000 + fuel for a Florida to Connecticut trip. Taking it via water requires zero disassembly. It only takes one person to move the boat over water.
Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of owning a trucking company and posting youtube videos of hauling a boat? I'm sure Tim doesn't care if it's cheaper by water.
Rhode Island is worse... dinged me for a wet power steering hose... it was from the shop who replaced it spilling a little when they refilled the system!
Why didn't he just have someone pilot the damn boat all the way around It would have been a 3-day trip😂 there's the captain of the boat and then there's the pilot that oversees the boat through every harbor or surrounding areas close to the land so I don't understand why not just hire somebody to pilot the damn boat all the way through all the way around would have been way easier same price to do it but it would have been done faster having someone operating all night and then all day behind the helm of the boat I mean probably within two days you would have had it to where it needed to go
I think you are confusing a large commercial vessel with this small private boat. There are no "pilots" needed for "harbors or surrounding areas". You hire a delivery captain and he/ she will stipulate the crew needed for the voyage.
That little boat would get its butt kicked in open water. Wear and tear on the vessel, hours on the engines. You've got to pay the captain and the cost of fuel. And if you have a failure out there and end up in a harbor for repairs, you still pay the captain every single day. Far less risk moving these by truck.
It’s good he gives updates but he has been going in new directions with his TH-cam channel for months but he keeps adding new ideas which I have not seen many plans happen before he adds new plans.
Wow they're pretty law-and-order up there in the Northeast. I've moved some buildings here in Texas , most of the time they don't require any escort, and if they do it's rarely a police escort. The only time I remember seeing people having a police escort is when they were literally moving an entire house that took up the whole highway. That being said an escort vehicle is actually nice to have , I always had one even when not required , to help manage traffic etc.
Speaking of Bucket trucks i just saw United Rentals rents bucket trucks lol i was passing some construction were they were installing electric poles today and was just wondering who it was but they were using united rental bucket trucks lol.
If you entered CT at Danbury, I'm guessing you came East from PA on I84 through NY!! Just missed you guys!! I'm just a couple miles off an exit on I84 in NY!!
Is it just me or did anyone else miss a video somewhere. I watched the first two on here, then another on on FSC channel. He said he escorted them all the way to G&S yard. But they didn’t make it that far that I ever saw. Next video with him, he was working with them moving trucks around and such and you see Bonnie hooked up to the boat at their yard. Never seen the boat leave the yard and make it to this point though.
That is funny as hell right there boys! I took a wide load up to that state some years ago and put the flags on the "LOAD" only, as the permit said. I got pulled into the scale and was told to put flags on the front corners of the truck back than as well. So can someone tell me what the bucket truck is for? The only thing I can think of is for getting a closer look at the top of the boat going under a bridge....
The bucket truck comes in for low items like phone and cable TV wires or low hung traffic lights. The bucket man has the tools to get those things out of the way easily.
Twenty years ago I worked for a C-store construction company. We took on a large contract to refurbish 12 stores in NY. The unions gave us so much hell about what we could and could not do, and who could do it, that we took a hit and came back after doing only 8 stores. What seems like common sense in the south is an effing nightmare up there.

I'm sure it was cheaper to truck it up than to captain it up
The cost of fuel and man power and wear and tear on the boat would be so much more.

I was curious about the flags. We always had one on all 4 corners of truck, trailer and load
