Great Storm Aftermath Coverage Im surprised the Los Angeles River didn't overflow! That in itself probaby spared many from major flooding in LA.

It's catastrophic. But, I must say I am thoroughly impressed with California's public works department. You know how hard it is to move that much mud? I am impressed. Did you see that house at like 1:13? I'm in shock at what I'm seeing.
Me: one day at a time
    Everybody: ok.

Forest Falls is a Neighborhood with one very narrow road with small cabins on both sides of the street that goes uphill for several miles before it dead ends into the mts...

looking at some of the destruction online this morning. along with other reported natural disasters it seems likely to me that some areas of this country may become uninhabitable because of climate change. there doesn't seem to be a way to provide economical housing to withstand the wrath of nature.

@@onethumbks It's already happening, just not where you live to as much of a degree as elsewhere. Climate change doesn't impact every region in the same manner. Go research the flooding in Pakistan last year. Or the anomalies in sea surface temperatures this year. Or historically bad wildfire season in Canada. Parts of the US will 100% become inhabitable in the future. Maybe not in the next 5-20 years, but good luck living in the extreme southern regions in 100 more years of burning fossil fuels. The world has already warmed well over 1 degree celcius since the industrial age.

@173jaSon371 And that’s the problem. People like you blame any event on the boogeyman “climate change”. Warmer than usual? Climate change. Colder, wetter, drier- all “climate change “. Do real research. Research teleconnections, the mjo, the difference in east, central, and west based El Niño phases, and how that differs from La Niña. How about the ONI, or SOI index? NAO? No, you just use the political term “climate change. Tell you what, explain your theories on the terms above. Explain why there are dinosaur bones in Connecticut, when it’s believed they lived in tropical weather. Then give me a history of global weather in 1 million year intervals, starting with the beginning of earth, roughly 4.4 billion years ago. Your politicians are basing this scam on roughly 100 years of mediocre data, over the 4+ billion year history of the earth. Blink once. That’s a longer period than we’re judging history on.
