The more I look at it, the more I like Charizard-Terrapagos. I used to play Eternatus with a huge bench, so it's gonna be interesting to see how the list shapes up.
Eternatus was one of the first decks I ever played! One of the first Pokemon videos I ever made too back when I really didn’t know what I was doing. th-cam.com/video/MLeKCCYOOlU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZH6VnxtQa4NjVvpS
Just getting started with playing irl and started like a month ago with a char deck Thats definitly one of the most helpfull videos i have seen so far +1 sub
My biggest complaint about Japan getting these sets so much sooner than everywhere else is that they get to have all the learning curves and testing of new styles while we just pick up from where they left off. Kinda feels like there is a lot less optimization and testing that we get to do
Same complaint Yu-Gi-Oh players have because the OCG ban list is SUPERIOR than the lame TCG list. This was more egregious when Asia and the US/ Europe shared a banlist
@@Fliptaz92 because we dont see more experimental decks and testing ones, people follow decks from japan and maybe slightly change them but usually people dont touch those decks that didnt do well in japan
Really loved this video, can’t wait to see your gholdengo builds as I have been loving running gholdengo ex with energy search pro and ceruledge ex for late game when all those energies are in the discard
Its different seeing no Vs and things like that in these decks. But at the same timez refreshing. Budew definitely shook some things up with more ace specs being used too.
If you have time, I would love to see one of these videos for roaring moon ex, especially with things like dark patch and radiant sneasler rotating out
Roaring Moon ex so far has seen very little play post-rotation :( While there are literally dozens of lists for Charizard, Gardevoir, and Dragapult, Roaring Moon as its own deck has 1. Just this 14th place list: limitlesstcg.com/decks/list/jp/27649 It's also teched into a few other decks, but it's only in 4 decks that have gotten top 16 thus far. If there's enough Roaring Moon decks to cover, I'll make a video specifically for it. Otherwise, it might just end up in the final roundup.
Brook is not a better way to search for pokemon, but the main Reasin I can feel that they add it to the deck is because of bedew. Bedew will block the items, but will not block Brook.
For me the best Charizard post rotation is With terapagos since it have similiar concept like old list but a bit nerf since you can't search any card but only trainer item also you need terastal pokemon before you evovle to noctowl
Been dipping my toes in the water with the TCG with TCG Live (its been proving to be fun and I can use it as practice for local tournaments!!!) and I'm seriously considering buying the Zard ex League Deck to play with during the next local tournament. What are your thoughts? I'm a younger player btw so my parents are very skeptical of the hobby, which has made me hold off for long enough. They think its silly, but its my passion. They are saying that its just a phase and I will grow out of it soon, but they have been saying that since I started playing the video games back in 2018ish. Would really appreciate some pointers and I have watched some of your other vids from a few months ago about the League Decks. Thanks for the helpful video!
First off, welcome to the Pokemon TCG community! IMO, everyone should be free to explore their hobbies to any level they like, regardless of how invested they ultimately get into it or how “mature” a person may be. Not trying to override your parents, but that’s just my opinion. I discovered video games as a toddler and I’ve stuck with that hobby my entire life. Great! I only started playing Pokemon cards 4 years ago, well into my adult years. Awesome! I’m a grown adult with a son and I play with Pokemon cards. No shame in that and I know I’m not alone in that. The adult division is actually the largest group of competitive players at any tournament and there are tons of grown ups who play Live, Pocket, or with the physical cards just for fun. I have musical instruments that I’ve always wanted to learn how to play but have never fully committed enough to get good at them. That’s okay too. Regardless of commitment, age, or investment, it makes me happy to explore my hobbies at my own pace. If buying a deck and playing it at locals is something that would make you happy, then I don’t see why you shouldn’t pursue that. Even if you end up hating it, going through the experience of buying the cards and going out to the events still adds value to your life and could guide you towards something you like more. Or maybe it becomes a hobby you pursue even further. I hope you ultimately have the opportunity to further explore this hobby or any other hobby at your own pace and at your own investment level. Understanding that buying cards and going to an event costs money and maybe that’s a factor. But if it’s within your means, I think it’s worth a shot.
@@InThirdPerson Thank you so much for the response! I have a few events near me and one of them is an official League Challenge, but I am thinking of trying to start off with a place that you don't have to pay for an entry fee, just to start out. I have some money set aside for myself, though I am hoping that I can save most of it for the future. I can see my parents side, which is wanting me to save my money, but I also want to go out an experience some stuff with people with similar interests. Gonna think on it, but right now I am leaning toward getting the deck and seeing if my parents are okay with me going to the place with no entry fee, which we need to check out beforehand (its near a shady part of town). Thank you again for the response!
Actually no. Pecharunt ex is mostly used with the new N Zoroark deck. You can see every Japanese tournament list featuring Pecharunt ex here limitlesstcg.com/cards/SFA/39/decklists/jp
Because of how poorly it’s trending in Japan, I may not get to Miraidon in a timely manner. Feel free to take a look at the lists yourself (the few that are there anyway). limitlesstcg.com/cards/SVI/81/decklists/jp Everything from January 25th onward is post-rotation.
Super helpful video man 🫶🏻 Really looking forward for the Gardevoir video!!
Same!
I don't play often but that's my favorite deck. I hope it gets more powerful.
I love this video, which is focused on a specific deck. I'm looking up to Dragapult and Raging Bolt next!
I would imagine Raging Bolt doesn't change much. It only loses trekking shoes and Pokéstop.

A lot of that is people only playing the most consistent decks. Toronto finals showed it's ok to gamble a little
@@RenegadeStriker7Clown take 😂
Why does it matter ? Serious question

Hey man, nice video! I also saw your Zard Terapagos video, really cool!
Love the video! I'm getting into competitive PTCG and videos like this are very helpful.

Interesting... I'm curious about dragapult moving forward
Literally working on that video right now!
When is the rotation changing?
March 27th in PTCGL and April 11th for in-person play
Prismatic evolutions decks guide when 😔😔😔
Good video
I saw a couple of Grand Tree decks to fight Budew. Will those go away once the next set drops?
Grand Tree Charizard variants will go up and down in popularity, but Budew is not going anywhere.
Will you be doing one for Palkia?
Palkia will not be Standard format legal after this rotation
No pecharunt Ex / Charizard Ex deck?
Actually no. Pecharunt ex is mostly used with the new N Zoroark deck.

My biggest problem playing charizard is raging bolt decks honestly
Please Do miraidon next i need it lol
It’s not looking good for Miraidon over in Japan :(

Not next, but it’s pretty high up on my list of decks to cover!
Please Gardevoir next video 🙏

Love a good zard deck
First comment, i use charizard ex so it will be cool to use it on 2025 =)
Charizard is the most boring deck to play, each time a game starts I pray it’s not Charizard… it’s so played out for me
