@@NoFutureForG0uda I'm kind of neutral on the rat "rule", it just drives me crazy when people act like the rule is sacrosanct and overrides the rules of all custom formats forever by divine decree. Yes, the card was printed with that "rule" because most formats allow 4 and they wanted to make it very obvious that those formats would allow it at more than 4. But what exactly would be the consequence if they declared "Arena Pauper will no longer allow more than 4 Rat Colonies"? The game would stop you from adding a 5th RC. People wouldn't have all-RC decks. Some people would whine "BUT THE CARD SAYS" and nobody would care. This is 1000% an option, WotC just chooses not to use it. The "card text supersedes game rules" applies to GAME RULES, because there's a zillion cards and you need to know that you can do what the card says to do during gameplay or the game would be unplayable. But there is nothing particularly confusing about a deck construction rule superseding card text, just as there's nothing particularly confusing about "this is a valid magic card" "but it's banned/restricted" "okay". Ok rant over :P
Another great commander for this deck is Angrath, Captain of Chaos to give all creatures menace. It’s one mana cheaper and also only an Uncommon rarity!
@@beans_n_egg9177 im not sure you would want to open up rakdos at all. rakdos rats is a thing, but the appeal of this is taht you have a fuck ton of rats that quickly turn each up other upt to unblockable 7/1's. going rakdos would be more tempo
I've been trying so hard to make Wickerwing work in Alchemy, to no avail. Seeing it so synergistic at last is cathartic. Thanks for all the brawl videos, I don't need to tell you how stale the meta is! Alchemy's design versatility was meant to counterbalance that phenomenon but we're not there yet.
LVD I'm absolutely loving the brawl content. Especially because you've been focusing on commanders I don't generally see when I get the chance to play (I can't wait to test out Killian). I would love to see your take on a Klothys deck. I made one as a version of land destruction/burn sluggin the opponent and it's one of my favorite brawl decks I have.

@@MetalHev if the decks were more popular (or if you are in an enchantress deck) it may be a more popular include, but I feel like it's a little slow/narrow for other matchups. But, it would be pretty fun in the Rats/Petitioner matchups (assuming you draw it)

I crafted Marrow Gnawer when it was introduced on Arena just for this deck. I play it sometimes to get my dailies quickly, but it gets a bit repetitive for me. Tons of fun but lacks variance so not super interesting to play.

one of my favorite historic brawl moments was when i resolved an ethereal absolution against the rat deck, instant scoop lol
I had a similar experience landing a Massacre Wurm against a Marrow-Gnawer Rat Colony deck. 10% of the triggers killed my opponent..
Ixalan binding is a pretty great card for those pesky petitioner/rat brawl decks. If you're on the play it's usually an instant scoop.

I tried last year with Herald’s Horn, it was fun but I wouldn’t say good.
It would need sweeper insurance. Would never be fast enough to be tier 1 but you could build it, sure.

Deck needs Akroma's Memorial. Dropping that late game would pretty much be an instant win if the opponent can't respond.
