Loved it. Staying fit is important. Most gas out near the end. Had a friend with a thumb activated brake light. Drove everybody nuts lol.

Thump activated tail light. That is actually a very interesting idea…..hmmm🧐

@@lowbuckgarage1 IT’s instinctive. We see a red light and we slow down. Every time he passed a bike or going into a turn he’d tap the brake light. Didn’t last forever but was a lot of fun.

I saw nothing wrong , I only saw right . Well done on the fitness beforehand and the bike preparation. Your racing line and braking was your super strong points . You caught most riders with that technique , I could see you gaining ground . A big applause for the wife as pit crew too . 🇦🇺

Love your number plate brother! That GoPro makes the track look so much more smooth than it actually is. Everytime I watch you race I find myself tilting my phone, tightening my abs... 😂

Lars Larsson, Hakan Andersson, Torsten Hallman, Christer Hammargren, Arne Kring, Bengt Aberg, and Gunnar Lindstrom were the power elite of MX in 1970’s. I had the pleasure of talking to Lars Larsson and getting his autograph at Glen Helen this year. I wasn’t sure who he was, until I saw his signature saying “the Old Swede”. 🇸🇪🇺🇸

@@lowbuckgarage1 wow thats so awesome. And so nice to ride GlenHelen Vets, i wish to go there soon
You absolutely know your history of Sweden MX.
Once in the time we where in the forefront of MX and Enduro.
Iam not so young either at 46 but you lived ( i guess haha) the golden era of Motocross in my opinion.
      Wish you the Best
      Cheers from Sweden

I am 63 and my first dual sport was at 55 a wr250r street version, the most fun in my life but doing single track in the forest, Enduro, harescramble, dual sport and adventure rides, I do understand about riding a slow bike fast verses a fast bike slow, you will stay healthier, learn how to ride most efficient, more fun, you will actually ride the bike vs, the bike riding you, keep up the videos, I think tinkering with the bike setup is just as fun as riding it, FYI, that track you are riding is all about HP but you already know that, LOL That 230 would be king in the forest technical single track, but you already know that also

      Thanks,
Check out Torture Test Magazine, Gabe just took a CRF230 to a podium finish at the GlenHelen 24 hour Ironman race by himself. Amazing.

I wonder if the flywheel lightening may be hurting engine momentum on those hills...flat ground it would be ok...hills..your losing your..umph ......you said it best...they're motoring away on hills......for that track...maybe try regular flywheel?

BRASILIAN xr200r and crf230f is similar in many ways. Could you tell me the differences ?

    • @lowbuckgarage1
      @lowbuckgarage1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

The XR200 has a higher compression ratio, a more aggressive cam, and weighs less than a CRF230F But the 230 is better at bottom end grunt because of the larger displacement and mild cam. If your CRF230 is bone-stock and not jetted and uncorked it will not keep up with an XR200. If your CRF230 was jetted and uncorked (and has good tires)it will walk away from XR200. the CRF230 engine makes a LOT more Torque down low. Though it is heavier it gets out of the hole quicker and gets through the gears quicker. XR200 is 16 RWHP and I know CRF230F (jetted+uncorked) is 18 RWHP. So CRF230F (jetted+uncorked) has 14% more displacement and 12% more HP than XR200. CRF230 has less compression but small/short cam makes for very high cylinder pressure at lower engine speeds.
230’s length is 81 inches, wheelbase 54 inches, seat height 34 inches.
200 wheelbase 53 in., length 80 in. Seat height 33 in.
+ 230 is electric start and 6 speed vs only 5 - much better.
