Fantastic job on the bass-to-bass comparison. Its refreshing to see a comparison that uses the types of songs and techniques common among every-day bassists. While both basses sounded great, I thought the Olinto stood out for its character and depth of tone. But throw in the price differential and I'd consider it a tie.
My verdict: both basses sound immense. As an owner of a JMJ/CIJ hybrid parts bass, I am biased as I love that little bass and it’s pickup. But now I’m going to head on down an Olinto P bass rabbit hole cause that thing sounds dope! What kind of pickup is in that thing. Nice playing btw. Loving this. Subscribed.
Thanks man. Olinto PU should be hand-round by Mas Hino, sound and feel both great! As like my previous test vedio, I custom ordered Brazilian RW fingerboard and smaller nut-width to make the sound closer than pre-cbs p bass each of I played. In my opinion, if drop the brand name, Mas Hino his own brand "maybe" cheaper than Olinto and high quality as well I think .
Nice work! I have a 65 P w/ flats, and a JMJ w/ flats (both labella) and it's hard to deny how well that JMJ cuts thru any mix studio or live while still laying down a fat mattress.
I have a P-bass just like yours, but I like the tone of the Mustang better. But I don’t want to get a whole new bass. Are there any flatwounds that would get me closer to Mustang tone but with Precision?
Great comparison video. Have you noticed any tuning issues with the E string on the JMJ? On mine the notes are slightly sharp on the E string even though the tuner says it’s perfectly in tune. Have you ever experienced this with short scale basses? Thanks
Def the p bass sounded better but think it would be more fair if both basses had la bella strings. They really do make a difference. The flats that come with the jmj are imo not as fat and rubbery or as dynamic as La bellas.

Great Comments, thanks man.
Nice Mustang but that Olinto sounds just perfect 😮
Two killer basses -played by an excellent musician !
Thanks man!

@@billtsai0909 I’ll look into that for sure. Incredible tone!
Love the way the mustang sits in the mix. Punchy, warm and tight.
Totally different from P bass.
Lovely playing!! Two really nice basses, really GASing for a JMJ.

Exactly 🎉
@@billtsai0909 and the short scale even tone at every position
Real good tone. Nice work 👌🏻
Thanks man.
The p bass sounds awesome round and warm👍🏻
Always sits the right place.
I love the jmj tone
Nice
Very nice! I must try a JMJ.
It's a nice bass.
Nice job!
Thanks bro~

Impossible, because the scale length.
👍
Great comparison! Was the EQ set to on the noble? Tks
Bass 35%
Treble 25%
both sunds great and for the price......Mustang rules!
Haha , that's real!
what I find surprising is the intelligibility of these basses even with a tone at 0%, it's well defined in the spectrum, great video anyway!
Thanks man!

Frankly, I didn't notice and found this issue maybe I am lucky guy!!
I noticed the same thing with my mustang player series!
The jmj. 😊
Mustang sounds great!
Both are great ❤️
It’s a great bass!!
Both are.❤
This makes me want to buy that JMJ that I can't afford.
Both are good bass guitar.
It seems olinto worth every penny!
Indeed.
But I didn't have a good purchase experience for buying my Olinto.
Olinto, is that the one with a quarter sawn neck ?
Neck is Flat Swan Maple.
Hey I like your strap where do you get it from?
it's my development.
I will let you know what brand once it ready.
@@billtsai0909 thank you!! Keep me posted

FYI
Mostly hearing the difference in strings.
Thanks
If I had to pick one to spend my money on, I’d go for the original '60s Mustang over Olinto.
Or jmj and keep the money
👍
What's the first song?
it should be show on youtube.
olinto hands totally down
The magic of 4.5 times price😂
jmj
Id like to hear the 2 basses with the exact same strings
Nice requirment, if one of string break maybe I can try it!
What type of strings do you use or recommend for mustang jmj

Indeed, but they have their own personal characters.
Que mania besta de ficar dando essa "puxada" no início da música
