The Olinto IS really nice, but for that price difference the JMJ is clearly the winner for me.

The Olinto sounds better to me but it is louder.

I felt like the Fender has a like more "punch" while the Olinto is VERY well balanced. I'd kind of go with the Fender, but they are both pretty amazing. And you bass playing is top notch!

Great video and really great playing, i like the look and sound of the Olinto’s , unfortunately they don’t seem to come up for sale here in the uk

Nice!!! I like better the Olinto + 760, with the '62 Precision + Low Tension as close second. The Olinto with Low Tension sounds a bit too muddy for me, whereas the '62 Precision with 760 is a bit too punchy and thin.

The Fender seems to have more bite. I like that!

I think people should avoid spending thousands and thousands of dollars on an instrument, just get a fender p bass player and go.... if you have no creativity or imagination, it doesn't matter what bass you use.... also if you're just going to play covers, I think even a $50 bass will do.

Wow you're a fantastic player, and what a bass line! Man it's really almost unfair how good that old Fender sounds- Leo really nailed something with those original company era Fenders. The Olinto is not very different, I'd say less than 10-15% difference in tone. How much of that overall sound is the Noble, cuz MAN it sounds huge and fat and articulate and amazing. Yeeesh. When I play a P bass it doesn't sound like that plugged into just any random amp or interface!

I prefer the sound of FLs but the feel of low tensions. Some of my bass necks can’t take the high tension of the FLs. They’re louder and cut through better on basses that can take them if your fingers can take them.

I have a P-bass just like yours, but I like the tone of the Mustang better. But I don’t want to get a whole new bass. Are there any flatwounds that would get me closer to Mustang tone but with Precision?
