Yo soy luigi, or something. This is a mod I've been making for the past few days and I'm really proud of it! This is a playable version of @niffirgmusic's Overdue Retake with some custom sprites and icons!
This has most events from the original Overdue, though I did add in a few of my own. Of course, the bullet mechanic is also perfectly intact.
The Mr. L sprites (all 3 phases) were made by DoodleDamien, he did a really good job! He released them as a remake of the original sprites and I wanted to animate them and put them here.
All of the icons (Faker L, Mr. L, Pico, and The Forgiven) were made by Tayied, they look awesome!
Everything else (except for the assets from the original Overdue) is from me. The animating, coding, and charting.

For those of you who have complaints about the SONG ITSELF: Go to the OST upload of the song. This is not an official playable of Overdue Retake. I did not make the song, and as a result, do not care for what you have to say about it.
If you have complaints about the GAMEPLAY OR SPRITES: Of course you can leave a comment here and i will look at it and care for what you have to say. However, it's unlikely I will update the mod with anything beyond bugfixes and some small improvements.
They way Mr.L looks here, it's more accurate that I could've imagined... IT'S SO GOOD DUDE THE GUY WHO MADE IT, COOKED HARD

I like how Mr L here looks like his current design based off the new design Mr Pixel made for him.
This is something I've wanted added to a remix or into the actual Overdue for a bit now, but at some point if the screen had faded to black or something, and Mr. L just grabbed and broke the screen in two like in the original Too Late game, that would've been fire.
But this is still an amazing mod of Overdue. The sprites look somehow more amazing, and just good job.

This kinda feels like when the hardest mode of a song basically fundamentally changes it as more so than a remake for the extended yo soy luigi part as well as the part with mario's ghost. That is definitely a compliment.

2:50 sounds more melancholic then the OG overdue sad part. I actually liked it. But the thing after that is the repetition of the first line of the whole song which ruins the moment really bad. My opinion on that

Bug report: When Notes is scrolled down, the position of Mr. L's icon becomes strange in the final escape scene.

Where did y'all get the chromatics for this? I can't find The Forgiven's, and this Mr. L sounds more accurate than the soundfont.
Niffirg was given the chromatics for the song this is only a fanmade playable and i dont personally have the chromatics

Most of the code i ripped from an Overdue kinda-psych port i did back in january. I ported it to a fork of psych engine i was working on to test some stuff, and since it was a psych fork it was easy to just move it to actual psych engine. The sprites took a few days to animate and the art took quite a while iirc.

It's funny because FOR ME Overdue is the worst song in the mod (Idk I just really don't like how it sounds) so this retake song is already better than the OG FOR ME plus the sprites and the events this is like so fricking good
I feel like niffirg’s retake is more cohesive than the original overdue. The original overdue is good in my opinion but not as great as many other songs in the mod. It sounds all over the place and can never keep a consistent style. I feel like niffirg’s retake completely fixes that
