- Making a trap rap beat from scratch using only one synth (Korg MS-20) and Ableton Live. I use the synth for drums, basses, leads, pads, etc. I added some rapping at the end, but that's the only thing that isn't from the MS-20. #onesynthchallenge

I used to have setups surrounded by gear but I'm trying this new thing now where I force myself to use just ableton live + maybe 1 piece of hardware. so far it's proving to be much more productive for me. But yeah, it's largely a personal thing. Worth trying both approaches to see what works best for you.

@@Mafronaut yeah syths dont meantt to sythesize drums xd but that was a challenge. On the other hand you got this beautifull sounding synths wich you are not able to create on a pc ;) korgs have the best shit

@@iW4FFL3Z their older stuff heavily utilized the Roland SH101, but it's not common knowledge of what else they use but equipboard is a good place to look

This is a great idea, thank you. I think it will help me do some learning, maybe take an unfamiliar soft synth VST, and write a whole track in a unfamiliar genre.
